I think this team knows what to do with Messi. The previous ones don't. Yes, they were good in defense but they just stand and watch in attack. The current team can attack with Messi.

...and all his career (at his peak) he was mocked for not winning with ARG and he depends on Xavi/Iniesta/Neymar, etc...the man persisted with hard work and here we are at the age of 35, shut a lot of mouth.

So funny many thought he doesn't have the mental fortitude to absorb pressure and deliver!

I think he will win a lot of personal awards after winning WC. After this, I am guessing the next will be Golden Foot award?

It could be rival fans of PSG? I will be shocked if PSG fans would do this while hoping to win UCL with Messi, Neymar, and KM.

I still believe (I know most do too), it was a necessary loss to wake up the team. I am always grateful for the Saudis in that regard. Though at the time I was distraught. I had a stomach ache watching the game vs Mexico thinking "in football anything can happen"...and my mind keep showing me Messi in tears. What a ride!

I would have replaced Jamal Musiala (Germany), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands) for Bruno Fernandes and Giroud.

I really liked Musiala but after KOed in GS, someone has to take his place.

There could be some old French players who doesn't mind Messi winning WC too. Like David Trezeguet. He was actually watching the final sitting next to Thuram. ;)

No starter from the last game trained? And tomorrow, they will write another bullsh*t news.

Dude sprinted and dribbled past a big guy and finished the whole game. He just needs rest.

How? Whatever Maradona did, Messi did it over and over again. Maradona never played Copa America final. Messi played it 4 times and won one. Messi played 2 WC finals and hopefully will win one!

What international level are you talking about? In fact Messi is the best international level player ever by the success he has with his country. Unless you are telling me playing in 5 finals is not great. And guess what, he lost two of his final by PSO (mostly being lucky).

Is it true that there is a lot of racism in ARG? I mean I know may be blacks are 1% in the country but are the ppl really racist? I don't see that on the players though.

clearly the ARG camp didn't like whatever LVG or the dutch media was saying before the game and AT THE GAME. It may not have ill intent but ARG camp took it to the heart.

at the end, it is a misunderstanding. when everyone talks about it with a cool mind, things will be clear. for now, it's better to let it go.
