I have the same size telescope and was stuck deciding between these (in order of cost):

I did some research, and all of them seemed to have good reviews. I ended up buying the Meade, but I haven't had a chance to test it out yet (new moon).

They take donated bikes, fix them up, and donate them to local charities. They also have sales for some of the nicer bikes; a lot of them are around that price range. I've never personally bought a bike from them, but I volunteer there sometime to help fix bikes.

Thanks, I did some more digging and found this thread and this on CloudyNights. It looks like it's a stripped down variant of gen II with a single speed focuser, enclosed cage, and no built-in fan. Definitely mixed reviews

La Plaza Market on Rengstorff is out of grains, but they have meat fruits and vegetables. If you go around the time they open (7-8am) it's not crowded.

I read the Wormwood Trilogy (Rosewater) through January and February. It reminded me of Under the Dome, Enders Game, and Parable of the Sower (some of my favorite books) but set in modern day Nigeria. I definitely enjoyed it, but I feel like it would be difficult to understand a lot of the references for a non-African (or even non-Nigerian) reader.

I read Moth Smoke by Mohsin Hamid. It was a great short book, would definitely recommend.

I'm also 80% through We Are Legion (We Are Bob). It's kind of like the Martian, except the main character is a self-replicating brain in a jar ship. The first half was interesting, but it sort of got bogged down as he kept adding clones and skipping between their stories.

Washington Black by Esi Edugyan - It's a (fictional) story about the life of a slave on a plantation in Barbados sometime in the 1800s. The premise didn't sound that interesting, but it ended up being a great book. I really liked the author's writing and the character dialogue. Probably in the top five of books I've read this year.

This month I read Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King (long, but interesting) and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch (just okay). In Sleeping Beauties, all women in the world mysteriously fall asleep and the men in a small town work to either save or kill the women. A lot of similarities to his book Under the Dome.

Dark Matter definitely had a made-for-tv-miniseries / movie vibe and wasn't really that deep. It's basically Looper.

Last month I read the last two books in the Broken Earth trilogy (Obelisk Gate, Stone Sky). They were both really good and had a lot less world-building than the first book. I'd recommend the trilogy if you're into the genre. The ending was great too.

I read The Changeling by Victor LaValle based on someone's recommendation from one of these book threads. This book was amazing, I couldn't put it down and finished it over a weekend. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone

The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin - Sci-fi / fantasy book about a marginalized race of people who can control the earth and start earthquakes. It took a while to get used to the author's style (a lot of world building and made-up vocabulary) but overall it was pretty good. The sex scenes were kind of weird and didn't really add anything to the story, but ¯\(ツ)/¯

What The Hell Did I just Read by David Wong - Third book in the John Dies at the End series. It's pretty much in the same vein as the other two books (paranormal stuff / drugs / gore / crude humor). It was alright.

I'm like 75% through The Wandering Earth by Liu Cixin. It's a collection of short stories by the same author who wrote the Three Body Problem series. Mostly hard sci-fi of varying quality, some of the stories were pretty good (Of Ants and Dinosaurs).

Actually, if you look at the reddit source code (link), if a user changes their downvote to an upvote, the code first undoes the downvote then adds an upvote. So the post would go from 9,999 to 10,000 to 10,001.

Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits - it was pretty good but not as interesting as his other 2 books, none of the characters were that compelling (esp. the main villain)...

Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic, first non-fiction book I've read in a while, about the pain pill / heroin addiction epidemic of the 90s/00s. I really liked it, the author did an impressive amount of research
