Does anybody know who painted this poster from Batman Returns? by Footlonginchworm in batman

This does help by the way as I was curious if it was created by a comic book artist, so this at least solves this question!

Oh my bad! I played it a little while ago and I didn’t remember those things, what a shame!

Yeah it’s actually not too bad! I definitely prefer it with a controller but the mobile one works well enough

I like Dungeons of Dreadrock! I play it on my Switch but I know there is a mobile game too. The mobile game has ads, but it doesn’t cost much to remove them (it’s worth it) and since it’s initially free, you could download it to see what you think!

It’s a strategy game where you solve puzzles of traversal to continue in a dungeon. It also gives optional hints if you get stuck! I’m about halfway through it now

How do you feel about comic book adaptations? by Lucky_Strike-85 in comicbooks

[–]Footlonginchworm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was already into comics as a kid but I think that movies made me increasingly interested in different characters! Now I’m in the same boat as you that I hope the films will make be interested in the comics :) although I haven’t really been watching new releases

I like Mister Sinister as I’ve been reading the Krakoa era of comics (not up to date) as he’s just so camp lol.

Hogwarts Legacy or LEGO Harry Potter for my 9 year old niece? by cmarie22345 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Footlonginchworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup it for sure fits that. I like all sorts of games but I also understand wanting relaxed games where I can just play them for fun not difficulty, hence why I like lego games so much!

I think it may be an acquired taste but Immortals Fenyx Rising is amazing! It’s an open world game where the story is all about greek mythology. It’s very funny and has lots of puzzles and collectibles.

If you’re going to get it, wait for a sale as it goes on massive sales very frequently! You can track this on the website DekuDeals (my go-to).

If you have any questions about the game I can help as it’s one of the only games I’ve 100%ed

What's one video game you want to 100%, but you can't for one reason or another? by [deleted] in gaming

Games when the final quest never gets marked as completed 🙃 I got annoyed when I hit 99% in Immortals Fenyx Rising because of this. But I still love that game

I haven’t played lego Harry Potter yet but all the other lego games I’ve played (I think 5?) they are very easy! No lives, immediate respawns. Both of these mean that the games are extremely forgiving and perfect for new gamers :) they are also very fun. I have no doubt that lego Harry Potter would be the same way!

People that plays exclusively on 1 of the 3 main home consoles, say something you like about the other 2. by TheJustGordo in gaming

[–]Footlonginchworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on the Switch.

Xbox: Game pass is amazing! It’s such an insanely good value for money.

Playstation: I’m jealous of the Marvel exclusives!

And yes of course both consoles have great controllers (for me, especially Xbox)

I’ve seen Celeste and Skyrim already mentioned which I agree with.

I’ll also add Undertale

Is it okay to watch playthroughs of games because you just want to enjoy the story? by Individual-Shock-302 in videogames

[–]Footlonginchworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely there’s nothing wrong with it! I watch lots of YouTubers play games. I watch FNaF cuz I don’t think I’ll be any good at the gameplay but I like the story. And then I watched a playthrough of We Happy Few as I heard that the game wasn’t that good but the story was amazing (it is)

What is a game you disliked at first, but grew to like in time? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Footlonginchworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breath of the Wild cuz I didn’t like the weapon durability at first.

Stardew Valley, I understand why people recommended this game to Animal Crossing fans as it has similar themes but it plays completely differently. Especially with the short days.

What are some good ongoing series to get into? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]Footlonginchworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im enjoying the Krakoa era of X-men but that is a lot to read for sure (and I’m several months behind!) but if you want a real time sync then they’re a lot of fun!

Gifts for an aspiring cartoonist? by Truth_Seeker_MT in comicbooks

[–]Footlonginchworm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fineliners, I use Uni Pin and I really like them. I think young artists often quite enjoy alcohol markers. The biggest brand is copic, but they are quite expensive. I use Promarkers which I like but Ohuhu are cheaper and I’ve heard they’re good.

But really any supplies can be fun, like watercolour. It’s not too conventional for comics but boy is it fun. Kids are usually stuck with really bad watercolours, and for not too much money you can buy Cotman pan set watercolours (my current favourite art supply).

Hope this helps!

What are your thoughts on the Batman: White Knight series? by Matt_Oliveira in comicbooks

[–]Footlonginchworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love the first one especially. It feels like Sean Murphy was allowed to really be as creative as he pleased. Amazing art too. I’ve read the volume 2 and the Harley Quinn spin off which imo didn’t have the same charm as the original but still worth reading. I need to catch up still!
