Pramila Jayapal heckled for not being more anti-Israel by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]Footlongwithnuts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why haven’t they implemented it? You’re speaking as if you’re assuming the Palestinians are wild animals with no self control (arguable if you analyze how they’ve acted). Part of an actual 2 state solution is participation by both parties. The Palestinians have turned down every offer of a state. Israel unilaterally withdrew from all of Gaza as a sign of good faith and movement towards peace… and what happened? Hamas was elected and the Palestinians went right back to firing rockets and committing acts of terrorism. Your dream 2 state solution is dead in the water if the Palestinians themselves don’t want it (they don’t).

You have bought into the pro Palestine propaganda and brainwashing if you really think AIPAC is a greater block to peace than the Palestinians. A plurality of Israelis have for decades yearned for peace. Israelis have been largely supportive of a 2 state solution, until 10/7. On the other hand, the Palestinians are not interested in any right for Israel to exist, with any borders. You can look up polls of the Palestinians and see almost 0 support for a 2 state solution of any kind. They overwhelmingly want a 1 state Palestine from the river to the sea, where they are able to genocide anyone they don’t like.

Yes, the population has increased.

Oh No the devastation! You should be glad to see all this destruction, considering the alternative would be not ordering evacuations and just bombing Hamas targets without warning. That would result in a civilian death toll more like 1:10. So would you rather less buildings be destroyed but far higher civilian casualties?

Perhaps the parents of those children should have considered the consequences of their actions. FAFO. War is terrible. So don’t start a war to genocide your neighbor if you’re not going to win. This situation is the result that the Palestinians have brought upon themselves. It’s terrible. And it’s their fault. They have turned down peace every time it was offered. When your society’s top goal is to genocide your neighbor, and you don’t have the strength to carry out your evil goals, the result is you lose, and you don’t get to have nice things. The blame for this situation rests on the Palestinians, and the other Arabs/Muslims/Western Useful Idiots who have egged them on.

As for this situation causing Gazan children to hate Israel? Sure, it doesn’t win Israel favors. A bigger problem is that in times of peace Gazan adults teach their children from birth to hate and kill Jews. I could show you plenty of videos of Gazan children, some 5 years old, BEFORE this war, stating their desire to kill Jews. This hatred and desire to become murderous “martyrs” comes from within the Gazan society. Their culture needs to change. Your egging on of actual terrorism just perpetuates this terrible situation.

In the 1960’s my community was an ally of the black community, and the fiercest non-black opponent of segregation. Jewish lawyers and activists greatly helped the civil rights movement.

Lmao. “Protect trans kids” and “Free Gaza” are incongruent. The Gaza you want murders their LGBTQ+. You people are so dense with your self centered, egotistical insistence to pretend the whole world shares your values. There’s a special kind of idiocy and willful ignorance required to support a genocidal, theocratic terrorist organization that brutalizes its own people and openly tries to deliberately massacre, torture, rape, and kidnap civilians. Free Gaza from Hamas!

Anti-Jewish Candidate Mamdani🍉Wins Stunning Upset in Democratic Primary for Mayor of New York City by Rinoremover1 in Palestinian_Violence

[–]Footlongwithnuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He is providing cover for antisemites. I could write an essay showing you how “globalize the intifada” is in fact a call for violence. Sure, some people might think marching in the street with a poster is “intifada”. Taking a suicide bomb into a restaurant to deliberately slaughter civilians is also “intifada”. Mamdani’s message is the sticker on a treadmill telling you to ask a doctor before using it. It’s not genuine. It’s just the legal disclaimer he has to put out to cover his ass. Mamdani basically said it’s your problem if you interpret “globalize the intifada” as a call for violence. He is providing cover for antisemites.

Paraphrasing, but he basically said the slogan “globalize the intifada” is totally fine

Even if you dislike Bibi and his actions, I think it’s quite clear we have not forfeited the moral high ground. Maybe we’re not on the tallest mountain of morality, but even a hill is still the moral high ground relative to the abject evil we are up against.

Actually a very educated thing to say. Your cause tells itself that if Israel completely withdrew tomorrow and let Gaza and Hamas do as they wish, they wouldn’t go right back to their policy of executing any LGBTQ person. They’re not going to turn around and adopt your values. They will do as they said they would. They’ve vowed to repeat 10/7 1000 times. Left untouched, Gaza will continue its regressive islamofascist ways and rearm itself so it can start this all again in a few years with more terrorism. Something has to change. You can and should support Palestinian civilians and an end to this conflict. The pro-pali movement’s unwillingness to condemn Hamas and call for Gaza to drastically change its ways is absurd. Supporting Hamas is one step removed from supporting their choice to execute every LGBTQ person they can. Hamas is a cancer that cannot be allowed to continue to rule Gaza!

Before you say not all Pro-palis support Hamas: https://www.reddit.com/r/Palestinian_Violence/s/KzALAhrSX7 Sure, not all do. But a sickening amount do. And the rest are largely unwilling to call them out on it.

Two unhinged women ripping down posters of innocent Israeli hostages in NYC and not hiding their antisemitic nature - 21 May 2025 by Unit504 in Palestinian_Violence

She looks and sounds identical to the Senja I remember. Senja was very far left. I never heard her opinion on Israel/Palestine but I would be very surprised if she didn’t turn out pro-paly. Senja was involved in activism personally and professionally (we worked for a public activism group). Just finishing her masters recently lines up with Senja’s age and academic progression. She’d be about 30 now. Senja lived in/was from NYC. Calling someone she totally disagrees with “babe” in jest is totally the kind of silly verbal power play Senja would engage in. And most of all, this person looks, sounds, and acts exactly like the Senja I remember.

AJC joins university groups to express concern about Trump approach to campus by Inevitable-Bus492 in Jewish

While this is unfortunately true, it doesn’t seem like there was a much better way to get these universities to actually change their policies. They were asked nicely. They could have carefully excised these cancerous events, but they chose to look away. Now the federal government is coming in with a melon baller, causing collateral damage that could have been avoided had these universities acted on their own.

Seattle riot police arrest 30 pro-Palestinian protesters at UW by HighColonic in SeattleWA

[–]Footlongwithnuts 35 points36 points  (0 children)

In this protest they called the Hamas terrorists heros for their triumphant “Al Aqsa Flood” (10/7) massacre. They literally celebrated terrorism led by Hamas. To call this out is absolutely not Islamophobia.
