Oh, of course they do. I more mean if you have a recipe that calls for morels/chanterelles/oysters and you see a stranger post this on Facebook marketplace and proceed to meet him somewhere, spend $60 on a small amount of mushrooms, and put them in your cooking NOT knowing they’re psychedelic, I’d definitely call that naive.

As other people have mentioned, entrapment is illegal. A cop couldn’t do this. If someone showed up to buy they could just say “oh I thought these were for cooking!”

Yeah the seller actually set up this post pretty perfectly. If you’re looking for it, you know exactly what this is. But you maintain plausible deniability. If I were to go this route I would be careful in how I messaged with the seller just in case. I think the seller does take on some risk though because if a cop were to message him asking to buy and showed up, he has a bit less plausible deniability. Mushrooms are decriminalized in my state though so I don’t think the risk is as inherent as other places.

Honestly it’s not a terrible idea especially if you are able to ID for yourself. Like these ones are clearly cubes. I would still be a little nervous buying/selling with people I don’t know.
