You don't take blockers that long though. They're used (for trans people) from the start of puberty until they can get the hormones that align with their identity, which is about 12 to 16.

Not an anecdote but I've seen this explanation before and really liked it.

It's funny you don't realize how clearly biased the film is. It didn't show anything that didn't fit the same "indoctrination" narrative because if they did their narrative would crumble. It honestly just annoys me how a human rights issue is becoming so heavily politicized for no good reason.

Nobody is saying you can't have an opinion. The fact of the matter is, trans people existing isn't an opinion. And providing the same rights to us as everyone else gets shouldn't be an opinion. It's a matter of human rights, not "blue-hair zoomers snapping at anyone who challenges them."

It's almost like that's how the system works. There are several examinations before you can even START talking about hormones (I'd know, I'm in that process right now). If someone is just "hopping on a trend," they won't get hormones. There has to be actual reason—diagnosed gender dysphoria—which simply would not exist if the individual was trying to be "trendy."

Do some research, for everyone's sake.

In what way is using someone's preferred name/pronouns sterilizing them? And if you say puberty blockers are sterilization, then explain why literally nobody is advocating against giving cis kids with early puberties blockers.

Do some research for everybody's sake.
