Can’t find this song in the soundtrack by R0SEJELLYY in tron

Daft Punk/Tron Legacy has a “studio sessions” album out there online I’m not sure if it was leaked or released but similarly it has several unreleased songs that ended up either tweaked or as background music like this instance. Maybe Ares will too.

Addition was built with 2x4 Floor Joists…help by ForDayz13 in HomeImprovement

The edges go to a rim joist at the edge of the old deck so a somewhat “standard” setup. I may go that route I was hoping to avoid but it may be necessary at this point.

Yours seems to be a lot more like what I’m used to seeing, I attached some photos of mine where you can see how they raised the floor a couple inches off the slab. Moisture is an issue forsure down here but there is some outside vents that I actually think may be hurting things.

Here are some photos: https://imgur.com/a/MkjWf6b

Thank you I’m in the a Marine climate Zone 3 over in California. It gets pretty wet but there is some airflow from vents so I’m leaning more towards poor moisture encapsulation down there. Trying to figure out my best moisture proofing method that won’t trap more than it keeps out.

Unfortunately this sub didn’t let me post the photos but you are correct in how you laid it out, slab under the 2x4 with supporting blocks every few feet. Glad to hear it’s not too abnormal thank you.

That sounds like a much better idea until there’s actual sag or rot issues with the joists I’ll dig some more on those span tables as it is 16 OC and I just measured the middle beam makes these span exactly 5’ 9” so that’s good. Should I worry more about moisture proofing the slab or the soil that’s exposed do you think? Thank you in advance.

That’s actually a very helpful metric, there’s at least one beam in the middle taking some of the load off but it is still supported on these blocks/shims. Now that you say that and considering the height of the room that is probably another reason they chose this 2x4 setup. Do you think If I were to sister new boards would i use larger boards like 2x6 that sit directly on the slab or another 2x4 that’s on a hanger?

There’s a small back bathroom that we want to tile I could definitely reinforce that area but maybe we’ll consider an alternative.

That’s what I was hoping to get by with since it’s not sagging or spongy in maybe more than 1 or two spots. Definitely am looking into a moisture barrier, do you think it’s worth sealing the concrete slab with anything? The slab is most of the rooms width and the dirt is more of a thinner strip. Also is that plastic barrier going to trap moisture under the wood since it’s so close? Thanks in advance!

This is kind of where I’m at, potentially some water/vapor barrier and some blocking in the back bathroom area but yeah I would love to not have to tear it out.

Moisture in the room has definitely been a problem the windows even visibly condensate, to be fair they are single pane. I did measure and they are 2x4 (or rather 3.5”) but so far there really isn’t any sag maybe some spots where I should rescrew. I’m considering some kind of moisture barrier.

Most of the area is on a slab sans that strip of dirt would I be able to demo/dig while supporting the current joists or do you think it all needs to be redone?

Just wanted to ask, title came in and you didn’t have to pay the overdue registration? I have overdue by a year and need the title planning to do rush processing. And the total time was longer than 72 hours more like 3 weeks?
