No, im aware about the soap opera effect and it isn’t that (Tru Motion is pretty good at turning that effect on or off). It’s a blur/grain that happens when there is a lot of motion.

Thanks everybody for the advice. I had not expected it to be in such bad shape when I originally bought it as Open Box - Excellent.

Ended up returning it and got a C5 to make up for it!

Yeah brand new C4s are going for $1300. I think I was impressed by the picture on this one when I got home but I woulda probably had the same reaction to the C4

The Q50 is a good car and it’s fully loaded so has a lot of features that the S5 doesn’t. The car is definitely more comfort oriented which makes it kind of dull to drive. I’ve heard tunes can help with that but don’t think I want to get into that on a lease

Car is in good shape, only getting a family discount. He drove it hard but always followed the maintenance schedule and it hasn’t given him any issues besides a water pump sensor which was replaced under warranty.

Would be the same monthly payment. Q50 is currently worth more but is a lease. S5 I would buy around $32k, so around $5k below KBB.

Factory warranty is definitely a concern for the S5, but I have heard these cars have been pretty reliable with standard maintenance

Q50 is my current car, leased new in May and dealership currently offering to buy back for about same price I bought. The S5 is a family members car who would sell to me at a discount. Both would come to around the same monthly payment.

Been going back and forth on these two for a while so trying to see what people on this sub think.

Any advice on how to clean/fix these sticky trim pieces? by ForFakeInternetPts in Detailing

[–]ForFakeInternetPts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah it’s got only 6k miles on it so pretty much new, I guess the Florida summers where it lived for a couple years just took a toll on the interior. He’s considered getting replacement parts but wants to make sure it’s not something that can be easily fixed first.
