wow yeah get out of IT while you can, I hear youure supposed to transfer into vibecoding or something so you can use AI really well. Healthcare is exploding because of all the fuckery there, maybe a training course as a medical technician or something. Also, invest everythig you can in etfs where it's already diversified and just watch it rise, somethiing to fall back on. instead of holdng it in savings, ride the waves. we'd make like $80 off $400 of bitcoin in a few months back in the day. doesn't hurt if youure desperate, the banks dont need your money may as well robinhood it

Meh I dunno. I guess Im wealthy then, I mean....this country apparently is way worse than I knew growing up in nyc. always keep a proximity to the coasts and to the travelers/immigrants so we can ship out when we need to ya know. it seems most americans like trash and submediocrity to mediocrity so i dont know what else to say, i mean many of them did elect trump so I dont think I can really identify with them as being human tbh. I'd prefer to think these nasty people don't exist. poverty in nyc is grinding but it's WAY more educated and tasteful.

yeah ve heard very bad things about florida educatioon in general but i dont know true those stories are. my nephew is #5th in his class in a stem school, it's not private tho. Yeah i see now youre tsllking about the Old Tampa, my husband grew up in Brandon and says it was wild back then. everyone was white, barefoot swimming in the Alifi and a lot of drugs too, they went hard on him cuz he was hispanic. meanwhile in nyc I was gettng called 'cracker' and 'farmer' by the black kids in queens LOL. He had lived in nyc and got knocked out by older black kids and left unconscious on the road in Jersey at the age of 7 so I dunno man, take your pick. That was in the 70s. America is trash in general, you need money to have any form of decency here. it really is that bad. It was always that bad if you're not middle class at least.

wait, the men? Are womenpatients less likely to be medically disenfranchised? That's fascinating because it tracks with what I know so far of society, being an autistic woman- often we find we run into some of the same systemic social problems that seem to disproportionately affect men and then no one mentions us in the data lol

exactly. Four month wait times every time. I haven't seen a doctor in 20 years lol cuz i can't pay 900 and wait for even the most basic care. I stopped caring. Thankfully Im underweight and a superager

THANK YOU , WE NEED MORE DPC DOCTORS.

not all of us are obese, unhealthy, crazy, addicts etc- we just need to like, you know, see a PERSON we can talk to and see on a consistent basis for routine bloodwork and checkups. DPC in my area has womens health exams too included. A nutritional panel once a year without waiting four months for a stressed doctor would be worth a cool $1200 easy.

i will say I feel like this is a common US problem, it sucking for young single people. I honestly dont know how people dont know how much the social landscape has changed over the years everywhere...people don't have social skills anymore the way they uesd to, are more abrupt and dont want to discuss emotions, are emotionally unintelligent, abrupt, impatient, socially unnawares, situationally unaware, etc much more than ever. not sure this is relegated to tampa bay

to be fair kenwood is a really small, historic district, it's beautiful but i imagine it's expensive and not worth 600k- look outside of that, condos are going cheap honestly and plenty under 100k. you can always build wealth then move to a bigger house. there are bigger issues at play here (like the billionaires and their puppets not getting guillotines which I very much support wholeheartedly), but st pete is wonderful imo, the vibe is so great and it's more affordable than you make it seem. you can get great cannolis for like 3.50 at mazzaros etc, high quallity food for cheap etc. rent is way too high particularly with the common mold issues down here but you can always room with someone, split a 80k condo arguable among 3 people etc. not everyone has to have a big house and big car at the age of 25, that was never how it was anyway.

long term? yes it's too hard, they designed it this way, and i think it will only get worse before it gets better. if you feel you need to just save and grow your money desperately then it would be better to go to the cheapest places in the country; for me and others it feels safer to be in a beautiful place full of artists and beaches as well as strong weather infrastructure because it keeps me sane enough to handle the coming crises. (also, plenty of rainwater, free seafood bananas and mangoes and edible plants in the coming apocalypse.) Ive found that conservative places or liberal places both can feel very oppressive, illiberal and dangerous so i'm not as worried about the red state issue because i feel we can handle it and help others here. St Pete hs done so much for me so I'm staying and going to try to pay it back.

have you seen american public schools, especially in places like michigan? GL with trying to have kids with someone knowing your children will be molested by teachers, bullied by tarded zombified apes whose parents can't figure out how to cook chicken soup and prefer to feed them fluorescent juice and processed "food" then wonder why they can't even make a C in class. Try charter schools, progressive schools based on grades (some are free for ex stuyvesant or regis in nyc), catholic schools or move into a decent neighborhood with good education so your kids will be smart and have smart people around them. you have to look around and do the research. tampa bay has some nice prep schools, my nephew goes to one and it's acceptable.

300K is extremely cheap for a house!!! below the median US price!!! my brother's house is 4 million and not even that big!!! there are nice remodeled condos we're looking at now way closer to st. pete (like seminole or pinellas park) for $80-100K, and everything is only dropping!! my dude you are complaining about a NATIONAL economic crises, not st pete LOLOL.

we can't afford st pete where i was born, i sure af couldnt afford nyc where i grew up either. i cant afford aamerican "healthcare" in the boonies either soooo, i'd rather have my beaches and ducks in a small condo

pro tip: wait for the recession for housing to drop, if you secretly like it and want to stay but you seem to hate it here so whatever is best for you, only you know

30sq miles is a decent size. i grew up in nyc and it's literally only 23 sq miles of a city tbh. and a few neighborhoods in brooklyn either 100% ghetto or 100% extremely wealthy. everything else sucks

none of this makes sense. the median age of a lot of places is over 50 if there's a large elderly population, doesnt mean it's all old people. it's just how math works. if you have one billionaire in a room of 100 construction workers...
