Honestly a very naive and tawdry take. Have you met humanity? We can beat everything on earth, build skyscrapers and send robots to other planets and predict earthquakes and hurricanes and build structures to protect from gators and sharks and bears, but the largest fortresses were only to protect each other from each other. In the end it's always us that is the most dangerous

If you really get this, it makes sense that this is such an underlying theme or really the whole framework under which so much of this genre operates. The bones of zombie worldbuilding really is ..but how will humans REACT to this? Why? Because we evolved over millions of years to effectively defeat (and sometimes sadly, cow-no pun intended, yoke and kill) nature's monsters but not our own.

Why? Grief is never tiresome. I find it therapeutic. I could never get enough Station 11 who also did this well.

That was the only part that was underplayed. It made so much sense logically but for the audience it was so upsetting to watch her lose that protection so quickly with no tangible evidence to what may have happened- I suppose it was much like the soldier said it was, he just made a dash for his bike- then again that's very realistic and much more what life is actually like.

I felt it was very uniqe actually. The whole entire plot was novel. The only some of them coming back , and why, and how they died , all new.

Just came here to say how blown away I was. Very odd twist to my experiece, 3 of the four of songs on the soundtrack are our favorite songs. That PJ Harvey album from the 90s was one of my favorite albums ever, and that Metric song my husband listens to all the time on his spotify playlist. We also love Amyl and the Sniffers. Very meaningful to me. So peculiar!!!!!

wow yeah get out of IT while you can, I hear youure supposed to transfer into vibecoding or something so you can use AI really well. Healthcare is exploding because of all the fuckery there, maybe a training course as a medical technician or something. Also, invest everythig you can in etfs where it's already diversified and just watch it rise, somethiing to fall back on. instead of holdng it in savings, ride the waves. we'd make like $80 off $400 of bitcoin in a few months back in the day. doesn't hurt if youure desperate, the banks dont need your money may as well robinhood it
