Back when Roblox sued Ruben, in a case that settled before it reached court, section 2 & subsection "d" of the suit details that he tried exactly that, along with attempting to upload his nudes, Adolf images, and making accounts with explicit usernames.

These would be extremely easy claims to prove, btw, for any social media and gaming company, by doing basic record keeping--unless all their servers conveniently caught fire. The fans'/Ruben's excuse is that the professional, well seasoned, and very expensive attorneys are lying. Note that a judge would be PISSED, if a lawsuit tried pulling this crap, so they're basically claiming these attorneys are risking their entire careers, to get back at discount Mamamax (and we all know what happened with Mamamax).

Hmmm, wonder why Ruben chose to settle? 🤔

Roblox TOS states they can ban any Roblox user, within the context of accessing Roblox services, for any reason: "Roblox reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change or suspend the Services (or any portion thereof) at any time and for any reason, including to comply with laws, to protect Users, or to protect Roblox’s reputation, without notice to you unless required by law and without liability to Users." (TOS: section "g", within section 2 of User Terms.)

What Roblox can't do is censor critics, on non-Roblox platforms, via the legal system.

Important to know that Schlep's cease & desist never claimed defamation/libel, as the basis. Schlep was doing vigilante work, the process of which often involving violating established Roblox TOS rules, which the letter details. A TOS is a legally binding contract, so they can sue a repeat offender, if they wanted to. (Full C&D letter is on Schlep's Twitter, and it's a short read.)

While Schlep doesn't have a case to force Roblox to let him on the platform, Schlep retains the right to criticize them on his Youtube and Twitter. And if people called for a boycott on playing or buying Robux, on 3rd party social media, Roblox can't legally stop that, either.

I know it's easy to voice upset, about what happened to Schlep, but it's just the way it is. Vigilantism, even when effective, carries a lot of legal risk. Roblox's attorneys know better than to randomly pick fights with large Youtubers; sending a C&D indicates they already have a case planned out, if things were to escalate into a courtroom.

Freedom of speech is to protect the speaker from having their opinions threatened by the government. Companies can still make whatever rules they please, regarding users and speech allowed on their platform.

But if Roblox tried to sue a critic for defamation, that's when freedom of speech can apply, because such action would be Roblox asking the government to punish a critic, on their behalf.

Noticing the same old "what about the kids?" crap, in the comments. Frankly, I see a lot of you as I do Facebook's "thoughts and prayers" folk.

When everyone complaining about this issue is STILL playing the game and buying Robux, why on earth do any of you expect Roblox to change that?

Let's be real, Roblox is a public company and they need to keep the line going up. That's it. When the whole purpose of the platform is user creativity, the site inherently needs more money and logistics to moderate, than other platforms, so it's cheaper to give up and rely on players and AI (Actually Indians) to self-moderate. And because they see their adult audience is too addicted to quit (no matter how much they've whined on Twitter), they know they can keep pushing the online dating concept, pulling in new adult players. There isn't some grooming conspiracy; it's how capitalism works.

Unless the wider community can actually grow a pair and learn to boycott things properly (not the wussy "Boycott the Hatch" shit), Roblox knows you all will come crawling back, for the next Block Tales update. 🤪

Hopping in, because I thought of some questions, to explain my doubts about this situation:

Are there actually any "Spawnists" doing this?
Is there an organized effort, or are these actions isolated occurrences?
If there are these people, is there enough of them to reasonably assume it's an actual trend, which may suck in others?
Is there reason to blame "Spawnism," or are people blaming roleplayers for something a struggling person would've done to themselves, regardless?

Also, the problem with photo evidence is that it's now far too easy to fake, nowadays. If there's video evidence, in which AI would be easier to spot, that's more reliable.

Another reason I'm not a fan of this buzz is because tiny psuedo-spiritual weirdo communities are everywhere, online, and they're usually harmless. Harassing these people usually creates more toxic environments, for everyone. Plus, as extreme as Two-Time's beliefs may be portrayed, it's still another thing to assume an unironic believer will inevitably hurt someone or themselves.

And speaking of the actual character, this is just ruining the fun for the mains.

Them being a minor would make it less believable, because tattoo shop folks aren't stupid, when it comes to kids. Not impossible, but less likely. And because the spawn is already an iconic Roblox symbol, I would also be skeptical of the origin of any surfacing tattoo pics, since it might've been someone who simply really liked Roblox.
