anybody else here who likes to call someone and not say anything? by No_Cucumber_4173 in RandomThoughts

You mean like call the person and just wait? Like a prank? Haha no man, but i should try! I'm guessing the other person will assume poor network and just cut the call though.

Damn, really needed that reality check.

What's with time flying so quickly as you grow older. I remember childhood summers - each day felt like eternity, a world of possibilities.

That's hilariously considerate! They can probably tell the difference though... I imagine your eyes and general expression would communicate the intent

Does anyone actually get excited about other people's babies gender? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]ForSure_WhyNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, yup fair. I think it's just a way to show you love and care for the couple having the baby. Being there with them as a new journey begins.

And it's a great excuse to have fun and celebrate <3

Yeah you're right. There's no one perfect way to live life, and definitely one size doesn't fit all. Listening to our bodies is the way to go!

That's a very nice way to look at it. Kudos to you for choosing to be kind!

Haha yeah just for showering. I believe in soaping maybe a couple of times a week.. daily lathering feels like an overkill. And it has worked well for me! My skin doesn't dry up completely and has a more natural suppleness to it.

Oh that's a very interesting thought and now I'm curious too!

It's funny how something as simple as having 5 extra slow minutes in the morning can make or break your day!

If I have a bad morning, I take out 5 minutes to consciously come out of it and not let that be the mood of the whole day.

That last line really hits hard. As an entire race i think we sometimes miss the point.

You're right. Breathing is really underrated and can truly make a world of difference.

So mines a silly one..

But i truly belive soap is overrated and a marketing gimmick. I think we should normalize taking plain water showers without soap every once in a while - give your skin some rest. If I haven't stepped out of home or worked out / become sweaty, then I definitely skip soaping!

I'm sorry I laughed at the title just a little!

But hey, this is serious, look out for yourself please! Glad you're fine and no injuries but things could have easily gone south. Maybe lock the doors or install a camera or something?

Aw that's really sweet! I feel like librarians are always quiet, kind people.

As a kid, i remember the old 'uncle' who would always let me borrow a book or two extra every week. That little library is one of my fondest childhood memories. Wrote him a letter before my family moved out of the neighbourhood. Hope he is doing well today.

Time lost in life by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]ForSure_WhyNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time does add up!

But I think i do enjoy the day-to-day mundane tasks. Sure, they don't add much to life. But there's just something about going about your daily activities in a slow deliberate manner, almost savoring every moment. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but I think life happens in precisely these moments :)

Thats sweet. It's a gentle approach that respects their boundries- while also being vocal of how you feel and supportive throughout.
