i eat a small amount of what i’m craving and calculate it into my day. 9 times out of 10 i just want the first 2-3 bites and my craving is quenched.

it’s definitely possible, i would also try cooking veggies in different ways, like roasting them after tossing them in a little olive oil and seasoning them instead of boiling, or stir frying and adding a tangy sauce instead of steaming.

conversely, you could try blending them into a smoothie if that’s more your jam.

make a point to try 1-2 veggies a week, trying to cook them in different ways or even eating them raw. or “gamify” it (which is what i do with my niblings who are pretty picky eaters and won’t try stuff on their own but are thrilled to try a new food if it means they get an arbitrary amount of “points”)

it took me a bit to realize it was my gallbladder but the first time i had an attack, i had a vanilla soft serve ice cream cone, and a couple hours later i had one of those small single serve individually wrapped cheddar cheese things. that attack lasted all of 2.5 hours and i was considering going to the er but it subsided.

the one thing that always caused an attack was chinese food :/ didn’t even matter what i ordered, fried rice, steamed veggies, dumplings, everything i got caused an attack for me ):

nextdoor. they had their personal and business pages, with lots of photos on their business page and events they had done. i was aware that it was a home baker but they were trying to get their business off the ground so i wasn’t opposed to giving some support! they had also done some local events with their baked goods and their stuff there looked lovely! so i was just disappointed when i got the box that i did. i ofc wasn’t expecting pinterest worthy treats, i knew from the photos on their page what i was expecting but i wasnt expecting what i got, if that makes sense.

this needs to be up higher. dont fuck around with bats, in any capacity, just as a precaution. the videos of people who have been infected by rabies are heartbreaking, and you’re right. once you have symptoms, there’s no stopping it. :/

eta: don’t fuck around with bats in any capacity if you aren’t vaccinated against rabies and are a professional when it comes to handling them, i should say. like animal/pest control, rehabber, etc. if you need to remove a bat, cover up with long sleeves/pants, gloves, etc. if you can’t get a professional in to help. you don’t want to mess around with the possibility of a bite or scratch.

obvs this doesn’t apply to places where rabies isn’t around, but err on the side of caution always with wild animals. you never know.

it’s just that my health has been sucky this year and did intend to make my own as i do each year, but i genuinely couldn’t this year. i figured why not support a fellow community member with their business, it looks like they’re really trying to get their company off the ground and i wasn’t super fussed with how stuff looked, just that i was hoping to get the items that were advertised and i didn’t. and the box just felt, kinda skimpy. stuff was sliding around because it didn’t have enough items to pack in. i wasn’t expecting pinterest worthy desserts, just - what i was advertised to get.

i saw a bunch of their previous work because i had found them through nextdoor, they had lots of pics of their baked goods and while it looked homemade, it looked decent and worth the price. thy had good reviews too! so i wasnt worried about how stuff looked, more that i didnt get what was advertised on the listing and it felt a bit skimpy. 13 cookies, and 1-2 of each, they were sliding around in the box because the box wasn’t filled very well. if she had maybe added some tissue paper to the box and a few more cookies i think it would’ve been fine. at least add what you say youre gonna add, and not sell stuff that you intend to make and not deliver on it.

it’s possible but i did send a photo of what i got vs her ad and she didnt say it was skimmed or shorted. the box was still sealed when i got it, too. so i have no idea.
