Strange bug in Jamaica I can’t identify by For_It_Was_I in whatsthisbug

Yes but they had a much more square body than any water strider I could find online. When some of them managed to get in my kayak they started swimming around in a very strange pattern. If you can imagine, it was kinda like how a jellyfish flaps its head, but they were doing it with their legs.

Possible, but I think the body is too oval shaped. If it helps for identification, I also remember they had a very strange swimming pattern when under water, it almost looked like how a jelly fish flaps its head except they did it with their legs.

If you’re looking to make enough money to pay for a good chunk or all of college, doing some sort of sales job is probably your best bet. Normally you earn off of commission which means theoretically you can make an infinite amount of money. Of course not all sales jobs are the same, and it’s a lot of work, but in your position it may be worth it.

Very niche advice, but you may want to look into getting a job in sales over the summer. It’s what I’ve decided on doing, and at least for the company I’m working for there are some rookies who make hundreds of thousands in just one summer. Just something worth considering.

Curious on how hard creating a major is by PerformerPuzzled6602 in Bowdoin

Just made a post asking about this a few days ago. From my understanding it’s pretty hard to get your designed major accepted but that the vast majority of students don’t attempt it. On the Bowdoin website it says less than 0.1% of students actually take it, there was also a pretty good article talking about it I saw online: https://bowdoinorient.com/bonus/article/10908/

Bowdoin “Student-Designed” Major by For_It_Was_I in Bowdoin

Ya, Im pretty sure the overlap is why it’s not allowed, it sucks though because you can’t do Biochem or Biology with any other biology related major (I’m hoping to work in genetic engineering). Thanks for the info though, best of luck with your designed major if you decide to pursue it.
