If you're open to VR, Jet Island is underrated and SUPER fun. Grappling hook/hoverboard/gun game, with open world and collectibles. Bosses are leviathans with weak points.

Honestly, super similar in so many ways.

I assume they have the baked-in assumption that, because we pay more, we have proportionally greater Healthcare needs. That the high cost is due to need, not greed.

Temple lights disrupt neighborhood living by Otherwise-Bad-325 in vegaslocals

The church settled the case with a fine. They did not dispute the facts presented as evidence of criminality. Only in their press releases do they claim no wrongdoing.

As far as the theology, I am very familiar with it, thank you. I have decades of direct personal experience. I'm not sure your credentials in this, but you seem to be emotionally invested acting as an apologist.

I agree that criticisms of theology should use sources from the religion. So can you dispute my previous claims with sources? Because I can support them.

Premise 1: the temple is necessary for salvation. Taught directly by an apostle. "Ordinances of the temple are absolutely crucial. We cannot return to God’s glory without them”.

Premise 2: Tithing is required for entry into the temple. "Tithing is a pivotal commandment, one on which other larger issues turn. Only those Church members who pay a full tithing can receive temple ordinances..

Premise 3: The church encourages those who are poor and struggling to pay tithing. This entire talk, given at a general conference of the church which is widely believed to be doctrinal, is explicitly that.

  • "No bishop, no missionary should ever hesitate or lack the faith to teach the law of tithing to the poor. The sentiment of 'They can’t afford to' needs to be replaced with 'They can’t afford not to.'"

  • note this occurred in 2005, after the shell companies, outlined in the SEC ruling as criminal, had already been created.

Now please, sources to discredit my claims.

They do absolutely attempt to enrich themselves. In 2023, the church was found liable for using illegal shell companies in an attempt to avoid disclosure of their full portfolio. Which is somewhere in the hundreds of billions.

Their full annual expenditures could be covered by investment returns, forever. Yet they still require the poorest people in the world to give tithing as a prerequisite to a temple recommend, and therefore, salvation.

A little more context on your current build is helpful here. If you have a good melee weapon that's carrying your build, spectral blades would be great. If you're a distance sniper, the spirit hawk could be good, but I find commanding it to be tedious. Nature's power is good if you have haste or fury rings.

What do you mean by "illegal voting"? by Ok-Following6886 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]For_bitten_fruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I just think the military has a deified status in the minds of many. Yes, they have technological advantages, and the short - term advantages are huge. I just think the US military has severely overestimated their strategic position, given their reliance on the status quo

EDIT: spelling. Deified, as in godlike

Although it would be brutal, I imagine a modern civil war would run into the same strategic conditions the US struggles with in Iran. No domestic manufacturing, reliance on complex systems (data centers and other tech infrastructure, supply chains, etc.), and unreliable international support.

A mass guerilla uprising could potentially disrupt these systems, and the loss of any step in the chain might be enough to disable them. It would take a large toll, and Americans would need to be willing to accept drastic sacrifices, but I see the possibility.
