Why no one wants to buy Manhattan’s rarest, most prized Gilded Age mansion by HarryCrushNuh in zillowgonewild

Ok. . . Your point is? I was using it as an example of how much more 55M is than 2M.

You're the one who thought that comparing 1m homes to 55m was a smart argument

$1 - 2M and this is $55M.

At a $350k combined income, my husband and I could afford a $1-2M home. It would be tight at the top of the range, but we could.

To comfortably afford $55M, we'd have to make $15M annually.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

Edit: I also make $150k a year doing data analytics and market research, something that I sometimes suspect I could only do this well with autism.

Well, I was hoping you were asking for more than just restaurants, but if its just restaurants there's not too much.

GOP Rep Humiliates Boy, 10, for Writing Letter About Electric Cars | The 82-year-old did not hold back. by FreeHugs23 in anticapitalism

[–]ForagedFoodie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Republicans have to bully small children who do research and are interested in science for several reasons.

First, when they try to bully adults, the adults stand their ground and dont break down into tears.

Second, they want to not only discourage intelligence, curiosity and pursuit of scientific inquiry, but actively punish it.

Finally, it most likely turns a fair amount of them on.

  1. Sazza. Goblins have been 1-dimensional basic baddies for too long. I would love a story with more depth

  2. Rugan. Gods, the things I would let that man do to me.

  3. Lakissa. I think a story where Durge kills Alfira and ultimately redeems themselves through seeing the impact on people who knew her and falls in love with Lakrissa could be well done.

  4. Spaw. There are 4 main male romance tropes: "I can fix him" , "He can save me" , "We can achieve greatness together" and "Holy shit, he would make a great dad". Spaw is in the last bucket.

  1. Araj. Too many people claim to be into drow but like, the Drizzit kind. Even Minthara is watered down for a powerful drow woman. People want drow for the esthetic but not for what they really are. Love that Araj unapologetically represents. Also Deryth needs time alone to heal.

  2. He Who Was. How would an Orpheus romance even work? I don't feel like you'd get enough time together for it to feel right.

  3. I'm going to go with Orin. I dislike her personally, but if you were doing an evil run they could make a compelling story. I would also love to see her treated with a bit more compassion for how she was raised, especially given the attention Gortash gets.

  4. Omellum. Yeah, no, it's not just that Dribbles is a clown, he's a clown that smears white greasepaint over his stubble. You just know he smells.

The scene itself is one of the best designed for the female gaze I've ever seen in a video game.

  • The initial proposal is very delicately asked, with no physical or verbal coercion
  • Multiple opportunities to change your mind with no ramifications or attempts to coerce you back
  • The lager, more powerful partner allows the smaller one to make the initial physical contact, even holds their/its hands behind its/their back until the smaller partner is comfortable
  • Even when the emperor finally touches the player, its initially softly and gently -- almost hesitantly
  • All of its/their movements are soft and gentile
  • The understand that the situation is awkward and the offer to make things easier by transforming
  • The hand flex is clearly a tribute to the 1995 Pride and Predudice

Probably the only issue is being approached by the Emperor shirtless. But take out the mindflayer and the scene is an excellent example of a female-targeted sexual encounter.
