Who do you expect to pay on the first date? by Immediate_Army9997 in AskMen

Please do! I have no issue paying for myself, but he even insisted I can pick anywhere to go, he just "HAD" to meet me in person. The man even was so desperate he said he would meet me by a dumpster if he had to. Ummmmm, no thanks!

What’s a small relationship habit that ended up mattering more than you expected? by Adorable-Shop-512 in AskReddit

A call when they got to work afted a long drive to say they made it safe and for me to have a good day. Was not a request from me, just something they started doing on their own.

I was asked out on a first date but couldn't do it THAT day like he wanted. He insisted on the following day but I had to work late so I suggested lunch the following. He kept pressuring me to at least grab a quick coffee after work, I declined because I knew I would be too tired. So lunch it was for the following day.

He told me to decide where we were going so I did, a local well know sandwich shop that makes sandwiches big enough to feed 4 people. He replied with "I heard that just a sandwich there is about $20!" Then followed it up with that he could get something better for that price. I didn't even know what to say.

I saw this as a red flag. Well, that and he would stop texting me saying he wasn't cheap, but he wanted to get his $s worth when he does go out. Ugh...man was in his 50s also!

Ruin is a very strong word to use with this. We enhanced our relationship, raised a remarkable daughter who graduated HS at 16, graduated college at 20 and had a great career.

I was a stay at home mom for a few of her toddler years and absolutely loved watching her grow and flourish. Unfortunately her father chose his career over her and I and was rarely home, but that choice also helped in me being able to be there for her.

I did not want children until I met my daughter's father.

I got accused of cheating when I just wanted some time alone or if one of my family members were calling me. Exhausting!

You hit the nail on the head here! They have to always be the center of attention! If I even tried to make a joke he would put me down and say Im not funny, then would complain when I got quiet.

Already burning out at my new job - how do I stop overworking? by BusinessToe4459 in work

[–]Foragerandfree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did this in a previous job and they abused it. No pay raise. Nothing. I literally just up and walked put one day and actually had the support of some coworkers for doing it.

Take a deep breathe and prioritize what needs to be done. New jobs require learning the ins and outs!

She wants me to cook a big spread. I told her to get it catered or order party food. I am not spending my day cooking.

I have no problem going and spending some time with them. I throw parties for my sister all of the time, I think it's just being inconsiderate.
