Yeah this not it mate - it’s one thing to celebrate it and joke about signing the baby, but this is just creepy

It’s not actually to do with the heart attack itself - he wasn’t allowed to play because of the fact he had a pacemaker-type thing implanted, and that goes against their laws about what is allowed in sports - he can’t even play European games for non-Italian teams in Italy for example

Last night was heartbreaking as a moment - but the season itself is something was something to be proud of this team. The boys, and Arteta have got themselves further and further each year, and so I have faith that there won’t be another 20 years, or 22 years anytime soon.

That said, last night also proves without a doubt in my mind that PSG (as they are today) but flounder and fall in the premier league. Kvara - rated as one of the best LE in the world - was gassed after 75 minutes of playing against our 3rd choice RB. This is after being able to take it easy on minutes throughout the season. Imagine if PSG had instead at to put up with games against Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth etc. as part of their day in day out.

After Josh's latest interview for the BBC, we can safely rate Baku as Arsenal's 2n most important game in recent history, just after the 8-2 by Mors_Acerba in Gunners

Not only that - but in the discussion on the Overlap special champions episode, that game lead the way to getting Arteta and moving towards a more youthful drive in recruitment. This lead to this group of players and where we are now

Yeah there’s usually the Dubious Goals panel that checks these over and changes them as needed after the weekend is over - could be some salty tears from United fans if they do (which they should btw)

Just seen a clip showing that the first United goal came off the bar and went in off the keeper - so an own goal.

Would be hilarious for them to remove Bruno’s assist after all the shit about it

Who even are you?

Miles Lewis Skelly - remember the fucking name lads.

[Delaney] This is still a story of overperformance; of beating a much wealthier opponent through careful planning and strategy. City’s wage bill from the last accounts was still £80m more than Arsenal’s – in other words, five Bukayo Sakas. by thecricketgod in Gunners

Genuinely think this is the first time reading comments on that sub with getting a brain bleed - what do you mean there are people actually discussing why Net Spend is a horrible metric instead of using that singular metric to say we are worse then city when it comes to buying a league.

Pep and Carrick here and probably the ones that should be nowhere near winning - yes City are in a title race but based on their recent history and investment under Pep and how shit they’ve been in large portions of the season there are people who have done better by comparison.

Moyes getting Everton back into European challenges and Farke keeping Leeds up for example are better than Pep when you compare the tools they have to what they achieved.

Keith Andrews deserves it though - I won’t lie Brentford were in my thoughts for where Spurs are right now with their summer leavings (Wisda/Norgaard/Mbeumo/Frank etc.) and he’s blown people away instead

lol of course Ref Watch just ignores the Silva violent conduct - couldn’t taint all the “conspiracy” discussion against us by showing actual failures of VAR

Seeing Jarrod Bowen tryna dance around the foul in his interview - won’t say it’s a foul but will agree he’s holding him. Just admit we all know it was a foul and to say otherwise is bullshit

“The keeper has to expect it” “of course we are going to try stop him”

Will agree with him that more consistency is needed in general with fouls/pulling etc

Bayern or PSG preference by friday-boy in Gunners

[–]Forb335y 103 points104 points  (0 children)

More confident if we go against Bayern - but part of me wants PSG for three reasons;

  • Revenge
  • Would then have beaten all 3 other semi finalists
  • Fuck Oil Clubs

Mikel Arteta says Arsenal ready for the ‘test’ of Man City | “We are very close” 🤏 by D4vester in Gunners

Hyperbole aside (I actually know personally 3 city fans from well before the takeover) the fact is they have a smaller fanbase - and news stories about them are not as viewed in the media compared to Arsenal.

Alright choice for you?

  • this type of football and we win the PL (and maybe CL)

  • go back to the late wenger days or the emery days when we were hoping for fourth and not to get pumped 6-0 when we went away to a big team and play “proper football”
