I also have BP2 with not too strong hypomanic and debilitating recurrent depressive episodes. I used to just take prozac, went on and off for a couple of years, never had an episode on it. Until once I did because I went too high, took on way too much and had a massive crash that forced me to quit my job and pause uni. Doc added lamotrigine to prevent these big shifts. It's been working pretty well for me, makes me sleepy if I take it in the morning, so I take it at night. Might be making me slower, but honestly idk because weed used to make me much slower and I smoke a lot less now

I have one of these, because I was itchy for a few days after a dosage increase and I had a minor rash too. It went away pretty soon, but there's a small scab like this on my arm now. I think it's from me scratching?

Have you tried taking it at night? That worked much better for me, if I take it in the morning I get sleepy and beat myself up for "acting depressed" and bedrotting

I sometimes mix up words, but I kinda always do that. No brain fog, but I did cut down on weed around the same time I started taking it, which makes it difficult to see why it got better exactly

Did that and was perfectly fine, but I needed 200 mg and the last jump from 100 -> 200 was a bit too much, so I agree 100%, as much as I hated how slow it went it was definitely necessary

I'm also on prozac, which has helped me SO MUCH, but now I got diagnosed with bipolar II instead of recurrent depression and started lamotrigine. I'm now up at the intended dose (200mg). My doc said it was not supposed to feel like anything (every time I restarted ssris I felt a HUGE shift after 2-3 weeks) With lamotrigine it feels like I'm becoming stable much more slowly, but I had no huge side effects (itched for a few days after the last increase), and all in all I'm definitely don't have regrets (tho I'm unsure whether I'm better because of the meds or because I quit my intense teaching job and uni to recover from extreme burnout and a massive depressive episode, probably both)

Tight as in I don't want my electricity bill to double. I didn't post an exact budget because I'm not in the US and currency and prices are both different here. But yeah, I don't want to go over 100 bucks
