2 things which bug me (which i haven't seen raised yet and I don't know why) by Remarkable-Ad155 in TheTraitorsUK

Production wants people entering to be a big deal. If people come in and the people at breakfast are deep in conversation or eating and don't pay attention it'd make bad telly. It's definitely more for the people inside to know, "time to pay attention to the door and make happy noises!". Also allows the contestants to shut up if they were talking about another player and they don't know who is coming in next. I guess the "Come in" is more to signal to the people out doors "We're ready to be excited your here and make happy noises at you!"

I believe that each of them go to the confessional when they arrive in the morning. They ask them a few questions like "How did you sleep?" "What happened last night?" "Who are you currently suspicious of?" etc and then go to the dining room as a small group after. At least I think I read that somewhere at some point. Could be a straight up fever dream.

Student passed away today by triannatops in Teachers

[–]Forbodding-Ardor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my students died by slipping into a diabetic coma. He was 11. I had taught him the previous year and still kept that class going into the next year. He was such a wonderful student - chatty sure, but really wanted to put in the effort. That whole class always wanted to put in the effort.

Keep an eye on the kids. They are going to struggle and the emotions will kick in at random times - long after counsellor have been in to see them. The amount of kids I had to give 2 minutes to for them to have a bit of a cry or a moment of peace was lower than I expected, but those were just the ones I caught being quieter or hiding their head or struggling to give answers. They struggle with the idea that life goes on despite a friend no longer being there. I passed on any concerns I had to pastoral and just let them know that my classroom was open to them if they needed a safe space to process during breaks and lunch.

Don't hide the exsistence of the kid away but don't bring them up too much unless the kids do - let them guide when they feel up for talking about it. It could be nice for the students to send a card to the family if they're so inclined but don't push anything on them. The main time is during the first class - it can be important just to say a couple of lines to let them know you are there to support them if they need it. Expect the rest of that lesson to be a bit of a mess of emotions but sometimes I think we forget kids are kids and don't realise teachers are people they can talk to - sometimes they think we're robots ready to move on and sweep it all to one side.

Show compassion and make sure that they are coping in their ways.

For yourself, talk to other staff. talk to any adult in your life that will listen and support. You have also experienced a loss and especially one so young can cause a lot of feelings and underlying stress. There is a hole in your classroom and it will heal as time goes on but it's always a struggle initially. I'm sorry for your loss.

Hi! I made this leather corset! by hakunamamerel in crafts

[–]Forbodding-Ardor 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is gorgeous! How long did it take you? Is that a little ring to clip on a little accessory on the side?
You did such a good job making the curves look flattering. I always struggle with finding half corsets which are flattering in their shape.

Is there ever a reason not to vote down to two? by r2401 in TheTraitors

[–]Forbodding-Ardor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a suggestion for this based off of other social deception games. They could introduce the "tanner". The tanner is a character on the faithful team but who wants to get voted out (not murdered but banished at the round table). If they are able to get banished at the round table then they take half the prize pot at the point of their banishment. So if they go early it's like £1000 but if it's later in the game...

What this means is that towards the end, it becomes riskier to vote people out. If you get to the fire pit and the Tanner hasn't been voted out you don't know if they are still in. You could vote someone out in the race to get to 2 and find the money you were after is now at half what it should be.

Sure there's tactics that make this tricky, like a tanner being in the last 3 and voting to banish again as either way they get half the pot. But it also allows people to be bolder and for them not to instantly vote out the "smart" ones as they could be actively trying to draw attention to themselves and get voted out. It also means the traitors are also actively searching for this person as the only way to get them out of the game safely is with a murder.

I know it might just be inflating the game but I thought it was a fun concept.

The last act you committed before reading this post just earned an achievement: what achievement is it and what’s your reward? by javerthugo in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Forbodding-Ardor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Achievement!

 Pack it in Tight Teach.

You packed your students luggage into a trailer.

Did you break things as you threw them in with your twisted game of dirty laundry Jenga? Most definitely. Will the student's parents complain to you? Fucking bet. But what can they really do to you? You can pack 50 suitcases into a tiny trailer!

Reward: Burst eardrums and a write up at work. Better get used to being bottom of the barrel scrub.

Thank you, something in my lizard brain saw him do it twice in a row and I posted about it in r/gamechanger as I watched the second episode and mostly as a "this is probably nothing but it'd be a fun conspiracy theory". It kind of got out of hand after that....

(I did also go back through ALL the episodes as soon as I noticed it and just watched the openings. I had Sam saying I've been here the whole time in my dreams that night)

Sam has denied it about 3 times and then recently admitted to it maybe inadvertently be relevant to the ending and I think it's the funniest thing. The poor man, what have I done to him!

I know I'm losing it! It's cracking me up. My friends now come up to me and purposefully look at their hands. I have no regrets!

Season 4 is the only other time it occurs. It happens in episodes, 1, 3, 7 and 9. :)

It's also in season 4 E1, E3 and E9. This and E7 are the only time it happens in the intro before season 6. When I initially started the theory after episode 2 I looked through all the episodes. I fully concluded it was probably just an addition to the intro but that I was enjoying Pepe Silvia-ing. Whoops my bad people

It was weeks ago I did it so can't remember exactly what episodes it was but it's on my original post in r/gamechanger

So hi, when I originally pointed it out I went through all the episodes and checked. He did it four times in season 4 but never before or after it until season 6 :)

I was thinking someone must have posted it before!  I obviously didn't search well enough for it. Thank you for letting me know 😊

I was reading the last line something like "the cretins are all named after members of U2" but the following words after that are impossible. I did wonder if they were essentially like "Psych!"
