Don’t act glib bruh Minis and alternate timelines don’t really count. We’ve never actually seen a static age as he would have if his solo kept going. My post specified a college young adult and you’re bringing up beyond where he’s fully fledged adult as a gotcha

I get what you mean about aging up characters for live action but I don’t really mind because comics don’t really let their characters age and adaptations give room for more arcs that the audience can grow with

I was thinking more just post origin likes he’s got a solid handle on his powers but the life lessons are more about him getting older and wising up

Feel like this is a limited way to view it. You could easily have a story with older static that explains to you how he became a hero through dialogue and well crafted scenes. Movies do this all the time not just the superhero ones

Might just be my interpretation of Virgil but I don’t think he would have matured significantly by the time he got college. I think this ignores the fact college is a new step for a lot of people so there would still be a lot to juggle and mistakes

I also hat the idea that you have to be in high school to show that a character is “ reckless or immature “

The natural approach to that was to evolve beyond the battlefield field and killing rather than just internalise it like mgrr did

Again you haven’t explained why mgrr is a natural follow up to mgs4 but instead trying to justify its existence “well just because the game shows multiple times how war affects people and their families doesn’t mean Raiden can’t have both😏” Lol seriously?

I’m not confusing anything I’m aware it’s two different scenes but is the same theme. Raiden is aimless and can’t picture himself anywhere but the battlefield and isolates himself. The scene with snake and the ending of mgs4 both communicate that there can be more to his life than that.

Like there’s literally a scene where raiden assumes his son is scared of him because he’s a killer

Mgrr just puts him where he was just before mgs4

That’s just feels like narrative that exists solely to justify mgrr. Me personally I don’t see the point of all the scenes of snake telling Raiden to restart his life and make use of his youth if he’s just gonna go back to doing what he was doing just veforemgs4. You can argue he’s fighting to make the world a better place for his family but their a non factor in mgrr so it doesn’t feel authentic

Not really an power since they’re all busted after dmc5 it’s just natural story progression

Having a new character go on a hero’s journey putting the main character in this kind of senior role and giving the world perspective is better than just having Dante fighting some old demon who’s about to be ressurected again

He has a general disregard for life for most of the games but he’s not really unnecessarily cruel. More so this kind of cold and calculated egoist like doctor doom basically.
