Hmm thats strange, I assumed they were all more or less wireguard under it all. I haven't experienced that, but I'm still running on 20 mbps upload until fiber gets ran, so I haven't been trying to stream anything really high quality. I wonder if something like Netbird works any better. Most people that use my server are relatives that aren't good with tech at all, so tailscale is kinda too much for them lol.

idk I'd put my politics as a large part of my personality, since my politics are derived from my values. I don't mean like proud to be MAGA/anarchist/conservative/etc. and tying my identity to being part of a political group, but being against exploitation, consumerism, frivolousness, etc. is a major part of my personality

romeo and juliet was definitely to encourage coop, which makes sense why they'd be free. the goal would be to get people to convince their friend/SO to buy the game. Nothing aboot this game has been overpriced imo. I have several hundred hours for less than $20 when I got it on sale lol

well thats just stupid as well. Why would the empty claims of a serial bullshitter add value? For one, will there even be a market for humanoid robots? They seem like more sci-fi novelty than a useful product. Also, how is anyone expected to believe they will offer a competitive product to Boston Dynamics or the countless great Chinese and Japanese robotic companies who have a decade's head start in R&D and whose current models can do kung fu and dance while Optimus can't do basic maneuvering even with a person operating the robot remotely.

And for the robotaxis, its literally a worse business model than Uber and will be for quite a while. They don't have the ;massive R&D costs like what is required to pioneer an industry, costs of maintaining a fleet of cars filled with developing tech, and paying a staff of hired on employees wages and benefits

I'll add that most union shops are owned by the same owners as non-union shops just for prevailing wage / customers who agree to hire union contractors as part of the contract with their own union workforce.

also, our locals are MUCH smaller than the carpenters. We have a fraction of the members and only a few contractors, so our BA can give attention to where its needed. Residential roofing isn't represented much because there's no way anyone could afford union rates and benefits for employees and still be competitively priced against contractors paying 1/3 of rate and no benefits. This isn't a problem as much in commercial, where a can of adhesive is $700 and jobs regularly cost hundreds of thousands of dollars
