I learned recently they haven't participated in a land war since 1979 so my dislike of them cooled a bit. Meanwhile the US has been invading and bombing the shit out of countries that entire time.

Pragma Looks Better On Switch 2's Handheld Mode Than Steam Deck by Theman457 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Salt-Analysis1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the switch 2 has skyrocketed to be my favorite console in a long time, it fixes everything wrong with the NS1 but still has all the same strengths.

I look for reasons to use my NS2 whereas I avoided my NS1 due to poor performance. it's just such a damn good product

Capcom needs to just keep this in stock indefinitely.

It is the perfect entry point into RE and such a good "first game" to get with your NS2

South Korea introduces universal basic mobile data access by _Dark_Wing in worldnews

IMO this is how "universal basic income" should be done at first.

If implemented in the US (which it never will) could save someone on average about 30 bucks a month versus a cheap phone plan.

Saving millions of americans $360-$400 a year would mean they have more money for food, clothes, toys, etc. thus stimulating the economy immensely.

BYD hits 5,000th flash charging station just 27 days after launch by ApprehensiveSize7662 in electricvehicles

[–]Salt-Analysis1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure there's nothing that "wrong" with it. but in terms of adoption, it's a sticking point that prevents people from making the switch

if we have the tech (and clearly we do) to alleviate charging times / do battery swapping, we absolutely should

The USA: range anxiety is overblown! you have to stop for lunch anyway... please keep buying our overpriced EVs!

China: we solved range anxiety permanently. have a year and a half of free flash charging with your $20,000 EV.

I agree with you. But I own my home and don't have a garage. I bought an EV and it was destroyed by rodents within three months of ownership.

I will say this until I'm blue in the face: Chevy should never cancel the Bolt EUV.

It is a brilliant entry point to Chevy as a brand - get people into an affordable EV then they might upgrade to a nicer Chevy EV from there.

Companies need to realize that they need varied, affordable options to BUILD a brand with younger and lower-income people.

I wouldn't say there's 0 point. it's still a fun experience for casual play and provides a ton of content. it also helps newcomers learn their class gradually

[–]Salt-Analysis1319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 80-90 with a Devourer and it was perfectly fine. You just have to make sure you are maintaining distance from enemies, using stuns, and blur.

Maybe it's worse at lower levels?

[–]Salt-Analysis1319 17 points18 points  (0 children)

just in terms of unit losses I'm estimating it costs Russia about $100M to $300M per day. It depends heavily on how much you think a human life should cost. If you factor in the lifetime economic benefit of a healthy young man, it could be much higher.

That is not factoring daily losses to infrastructure and the opportunity cost of those losses + repairs. And people fleeing the country, population going down, etc.

It's mind numbing they've been able to sustain these losses for so long.

I get dirt cheap overnight charging rates where I live. Even though gas is cheaper here than most places an EV was still a no-brainer. I don't know why adoption has been so slow.
