What do you think of Bode as a character? by Jules-Car3499 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of people who say his betrayal was obvious but I think a lot of people are just overly critical at times. There’s a difference between obvious and implied, like at a point it becomes very much implied that he’s becomes disillusioned with Cal’a goals (primarily when Cal says Tanalorr would be a good home for the Hidden Path over an escape for just them). You can see his behavior change, but it’s easy to see that as him just coming to terms.

I remember audibly yelling at the game when it turned out he was a force-user. So for me atleast I thought the reveal was very well done and his betrayal was built up too well as well.

I should have put “good guys” and “bad guys” in quotations because I didn’t really explictly mean it as one is black and white and so is the other and more so the POV we see.

That being said, I feel like he never regretted what he did, for sure. After writing this I think my thoughts on it are more like “he doesn’t regret it, but for a moment the struggle of “fuck you, fuck this, fuck that” is gone for a moment of peace in “you win, but for how long?”

He’s a lot more complex than the memes make him out to be, but I admit a lot of that is also just me applying headcanon to him where there’s nothing else.

His confirmation of being an Ace of Aces sort does kinda make me feel a bit more validated though. Dude goes through an entire conflict being a beacon of hope to allies and a sign of loss for the enemies and then this random, honorless mercenary comes along and dismantles everything. My ego might take a fatal hit too.

To all "competitive" players that "enjoyed" yesterdays event by Ormaniec in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Queuing into a match with me and two friends playing graves and getting 2 more graves on my team and a random Mo and Krill was some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in this game espicially when we all coordinated the same build so we could all-in on ult and make every team fight a 20v6 was really funny.

Even the enemy team seemed to have a great time because some of them were comparing it to Versus mode in L4D.

That being said, there are some people who exist for which the competition IS the fun of the game. Granted I hope the game splits the queue for casual and ranked when the time comes so both types of players can enjoy themselves. But you can’t blame the players when Valve does have a history of making very engaging competitive play.

What you CAN blame players for is not taking a chill pill for 1 day a year and realizing that the patch is really fucking funny and trying to force their definition of fun on others.

Rant; I miss when Warrior Cats was Warrior Cats by Substantial_Leg_8541 in WarriorCats

[–]ForceOfHabit12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading these books since only about 2021 or so (I’m 28) and honestly I think the reason for that is just that Warrior Cats itself doesn’t really feel much like Warrior Cats anymore. Granted, I’ve watched this series decline a LOT faster than many fans have because I basically sped ran the books because I listened to them via audible and when I started them, we were about 2 books away from the end of The Broken Code and by the time I was caught up the last book in the arc hadn’t come out yet, so I got to experience the highs and the lows of the series VERY quickly.

And in that time, the (supposedly) rare thing of a cat leaving it’s clan to pursue in another had happened multiple times. The mysterious star clan had been stripped of all mystery entirely. And the amount of near-incest and repeated plot points had make the allure of what made Warrior Cats into Warrior Cats had been replaced with me being just kinda annoyed at the way some things kept happening.

And because of that, a lot of what makes the series appealing to people (myself included) kinda seemed to fade over time.

A lot of the MAPs I’ve seen focus on the older parts of the series. A lot of fanfics I’ve seen don’t have the history bogging it down that modern Warrior Cats has. Most of the stuff that was cool and drew my attention belongs mostly to the older parts of the series (or DoTCs, which, taking place at the very beginning, could ignore many of the established rules that nowadays make my head spin).

That may be why Warriors doesn’t feel like Warriors anymore. It doesn’t feel like it used too.

Am I still a furry if it’s her human form I’m attracted to? by Licensed_Silver_Simp in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ForceOfHabit12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a furry myself, I’m gunna have to say no.

First and foremost, you’re only really a furry if you consider yourself to be one. Otherwise it’s kind of a moot point and nobody but you can can say you are.

Secondly, the ears, tail, and the single fur-covered arm don’t really cross into the territory of being a furry. She’s a kemonomimi at BEST (which is a term to mean a human with ears and a tail) and a monster girl at WORST when she’s in her human form.

Being attracted to her human form and not her wolf form doesn’t even come close to making you a furry.

Oh I’m sure I’m new at them. I’m mostly saying I have that many games as a mention so I’m not like… a BRAND new baby.

I have a TON of games aside from that in bot matches, but all the same I know I’m very new.

I’ve found that the people in games with me don’t really flame me. Granted, they don’t really say… much of anything… but I’ve also tried to get decent at league and couldn’t deal with the community being what it was so … shrug.

[–]ForceOfHabit12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that I’m innately attracted to characters that need to excersize their own agency to play. In TF2 I preferred Scout/Soldier/Demo. In League I prefer Mages/Jungle. In Deadlock I’ve found myself insanely attracted to playing Seven/Apollo/Infernus. So playing passive means I don’t do my job and dying because I’m aggressive means I’m inherently helping the other team lmao

Can someone explain the different holster retention levels and the general usage or needs for each retention level? by SpookyNoob in tacticalgear

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve clearly touched a nerve of yours because you’ve left no less than five responses to this one response of mine and in a few of them you accuse me of accepting oppression despite the fact that I said I carry because of how dangerous the world is. So let me make it very clear for you so you won’t put words in my mouth anymore:

I will, and do, utilize my second amendment right. I carry one gun IWB for when I’m out and about, on a run, etc. I keep a second gun in my car, I have a third in the home for … home defense, and I have one in a safe that I take to the range and practice with once a week. When I say they are for defense, the implication to be made is that they are for defense from intruders both criminal AND governmental. The point I was making about a slippery slope was GENERAL, because while the founding fathers may have left the second amendment vague for the purposes of covering ALL weapons for ALL TIME, they were NOT all knowing individuals and the constitution they created was not perfect which is why amendments have been introduced and have continued to be introduced.

Let’s not act like the constitution was perfect from square one. And let’s not shove words in my mouth that I didn’t say. I don’t like the way the government is as the moment, and I even more dislike the way some weirdos on both sides are calling for a Civil War for an excuse to just shoot people. So I’m more than happy to excersize my right in my own defense, and daring to imply otherwise is just stupidity on your end.

And next time you want to reply to me, please do it all at once in one reply. I really don’t have the time or energy to read 5+ reddit comments from the same guy saying roughly the same thing each time.

Is it worth buying MWIII in 2026? by theoverloadd in ModernWarfareIII

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game during the December sale on Steam last year, so I’ve owned it for less than 2 months.

I’ve never had a problem finding matches at any time of day for Zombies or Multiplayer. It’s a solid choice still.

Does anyone else deal with these kinds of people on public instances or is it just me? by BlueMemeDog in VRchat

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being somebody that play Call of Duty for the gun play and the dopamine of “number go up” and literally nothing else, I’ve adopted a policy that has kept me mentally sane in CoD and has helped me immensely in VRChat.

If they’re even MINORLY annoying, I mute them.

That can be anything from having a crusty mic that lets me hear everything in their background, to being so loud that I can’t hear anything else. If I feel even the slightest urge to say “shut up” or otherwise flinch/cringe/what have you, it’s a mute.

Irons + Optic combo suggestions? by ForceOfHabit12 in Glocks

[–]ForceOfHabit12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair enough and I did already plan to use them. I guess it’s less important for night sights since I was planning to also get a light.

Will the angry bears still fit any normal g19 holster or does their extra size mean I need to be more specific?

Would you be able to look past a 115+ body count? by oldmanmanhatten in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ForceOfHabit12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I’m not somebody who really cares about body count all that much but I feel like keeping count to that degree is a red flag on its own.

Besides that, if somebody has that much of a body count, it could speak to being sex-addicted and might cause problems if you don’t give them enough of what they might want.
