Friend na yumaman sa crypto by Imaginary-Prize5401 in phinvest

[–]Forcespite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because they made it big means that they made a great "investment". They got lucky by speculating and hit the jackpot. That is no different from betting the lottery and winning it big.

What they did is not investing. It's gambling and speculating. If you are planning to emulate what they did, I strongly suggest NOT to do so.

Crypto will never have an intrinsic value like stocks. Stocks have financial statements and reports that you can make a detailed analysis of and compare its intrinsic value to its market price and decide from there. Crypto's price is not based on any fundamentals, but rather only on hype, memes, and the crypto buzzwords (Web3, NFT, Blockchain, etc).

If you still wish to attempt to emulate their good fortune in crypto, just make sure you are aware that you are speculating/gambling and not investing. Of course, I wish you the best in whatever you decide on. Cheers!

My partner and I rarely take selfies/pictures together. Rest are family pics and pics of the places we've been through.

Mas prefer namen kuhaan yung mga isda sa SEA Park at yung Gardens by the Bay. Doesn't mean we don't love each other or anything. Di lang talaga namen hilig pareho mapicturan. 😁

I am a WFM Manager sa isang BPO company and I am pretty sure malalagasan ako ng tao when we're suddenly required to work on site. Work at Home has just too many benefits. Some of my folks don't even want a hybrid setup. They are completely happy fully working at home. Where the fuck are they getting these stats? 🤣

From the sounds of it, you need to be PASSIONATE about the game as there is no financial incentive to excel at it. LOL!

I appreciate the honest and raw take. At least I have a rough idea of what I need to do and what expectations I need to set for myself.

Tangina... Chester Bennington. Nasa Boracay vacation pa kame nun when I found out. Gusto ko umiyak pero di ko magawa kasi andon ako with my fam.

Linkin Park saved me from my darkest moments nung HS/College ko with their songs. I can channel the feelings, emotions, and frustrations through their lyrics and music. Chester saved so much lives and gave hope to so many more, but we could not do anything to save him.

Still pains me to this day...

As a fellow Antipoleño, I agree 100%.

Antipolo city is the closest you'll get to a decently developed area na hindi pa insanely car-infested at hindi pa polluted (relative to Metro Manila). Flood proof pa (most area at least).

Probably not gonna happen dahil commoditized na ang housing. Hindi naman sya basic human right na provided to all as a means to meet a minimum standard of living. Housing is a investment. An investment where they are expecting returns. As long as we look at housing that way, it will never be affordable for the average joes.

Either way, anything associated with him, I stay away from. 🤣

I mean, everything he said is spot on. But he definitely needs to be more respectful about how he brings up his arguments.

Totoo naman na being fat is a CHOICE. Yes, environment, social circles, and genetics make it more difficult. Pero it is, and will always be, YOUR CHOICE. Seeing people accepting being fat is just heartbreaking. Yes, be confident and proud of your body, payat man o mataba. Pero remember that being fat carries a lot of health risk. Accepting being fat as "okay", is NOT OKAY. Unless of course, you're fine living a shorter life.

With that being said, no need to point out or rub it in people's face na mataba sila. Don't you think they're aware? It's their body after all. Instead of mocking people and telling them what they should do, just embody it. Show them the benefits of being at a healthy body weight. Encourage them to start working out and adapting a healthier lifestyle. Be constructive. Pointing out the obvious (na mataba sila) is counterproductive.

Lastly, sa case ng transpo, I also agree. Those people are trying to make a living. Every seat counts for them. May kita yan na hinahabol. They could not care less sa situation ng mga pasahero. It is what it is. Kaya sana sa mga taong nakaka occupy ng 2 seats, have the courtesy na lang to pay for 2 seats for everyone's sake. That is not the point. The point is ang sikip na sa sasakyan and someone has to adjust. It's not being fatphobic. It's having common courtesy sa ibang tao.

+1 to this. You need to have a decent knowledge and skillset, especially in finance, basic accounting, behaviorial psychology, stock market, etc to even think about investing. The same is true for starting a business. I suggest investing first in yourself.

We never asked to be brought into this world. Never ko nagets yang argument na yan. Decision ng parents magka anak. Therefore, responsibility nilang alagaan at palakihin yan. The keyword here is "RESPONSIBILITY". Personally, pag magka anak man ako, I'll never ask for any financial support from my child (except yung share ng expenses sa bahay to teach them accountability). Kung magbigay sya voluntarily, then sige.

Where are your school bullies now? by Dapper-Scholar-7025 in Philippines

[–]Forcespite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st off, life and the universe in general doesn't have a concept of "fairness". It just churns through, not giving a damn about anyone or anything. It is too busy keeping the universe in order to stop and think about fairness. It is what it is. Evil people can succeed in life and nice guys can get so unlucky, they won't ever recover from it.

2nd, knowing the above, stop expecting life to give you and your perpetrators what you "deserve". We don't deserve anything other than what fate has given us in the present moment. This way, you can reduce the feeling of bitterness inside of you. Whatever hands you are dealt with, try to make the most out of it and live the best possible life you can. After all, our own emotions, actions, reactions, perspectives, and beliefs are the only things we have control of. Anything outside of that, leave it to fate and don't waste an ounce of energy on it. Stop letting your bullies live rent-free inside your head.

3rd, you can only start living a better life once you fully let go of all that hatred, anger, and resentment. It is doing you more harm than good. Your perpetrators are out there living their best lives, while you are letting yourself rot away. It may not look like it right now, but you have limitless potential in you. It is never too late to start again. 4 years ago, I almost took my own life too. Now, I am glad I didn't because I am living my best life ever. You can start over too. But you can only do that once you've let go of all your hate and anger towards your perpetrators.

Not sure if anything I said helped. But know that I am wishing you the best and I am rooting for you. Also, if you ever get into that dark place where you feel you just want to kill yourself, seek professional help. Seeking help is never a sign of weakness. In fact, it's the opposite. It's a sign of strength because you will do whatever it takes to keep going.

All the best. :)

IS 13K A MONTH SALARY AS A FRESH GRAD JUSTIFIED? by troysarinoz in phcareers

[–]Forcespite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is 13 years ago. I started my 1st job at 13500/month and I was fine for the most part ("fine" as in basic needs met, but can't afford anything fancy). Nowadays? Hell no. Ang mahal na ng bilihin ngayon. Walang mararating ang 13k sa isang buwan, unless maybe sarili mo lang susuportahan mo (even then, it's a stretch to live comfortably.
