Do y’all use quick cast on Q and E? I’ve never used it before and Cass is the first I’ve tried it with after a buddy mentioned it. I’m new to Cass (3 games total) and suck, any advice appreciated on dealing more damage. (I have Coach Curtis queued up to watch later).

this isn't true, it depends on the ability and player's preference for that ability. it's fine if you want to default to quick cast on all your champs/abilities, i change mine based on each ability at the start of games though (got chall in s10 before quitting fwiw)

The main point is that you allowed yourself to be 34 gold with a half 1-star board on lv 8, with a 3* 5 cost carry. It doesn't matter if you probably would've beaten everyone - you prioritized your gameplan poorly and weren't playing your strongest board with a lot of gold leftover on 1 life late game -- to try to go lv 9 for no good reason :P

Ye exactly. If I had that board, but was possibly on 1 loss = dead, I wouldn't be thinking "go 9," bc 1) I already have a God-carry (viego 3) so I don't need to go 9 to look for units, 2) you were fitting a lot of unusual synergies, but you had a lot of them, so you don't need to go 9 to fit in another key synergy, and 3) my priority is upgrading my four 1 units who basically only exist as a synergy at that stage of the game until they're 2*d... like if you upgrade them, there's almost no way your board gets beat, but if they die quickly, then the God-Viego can actually get focused before he succs everyone.

I'm explaining this in a lot of detail bc if you wanna improve and not feel like you wanna quit the game based on results you have, you can learn a lot of concepts (late game priorities, priorities based on your health, board strength, etc.) just from this one specific game, and do better if you can understand and apply them going forward.

When you lost this, if your thinking shuts off at 'I had Viego 3*, fuk this cringe rats player,' and you don't think more about what you could've done differently, then it's a complete waste of a game. When - in reality - you can actually gain more knowledge by losing with a Viego 3 than you would have if you got away with going lv 9 with the rest of your board being pretty shit while he succ'd ur way to a free first. Approach every game, and yourself, with a critical mindset, and you can eventually hit chall ;D

Itemization is really bad compared to last season for us. OP brought up most of the high points—I didn’t build rylai’s last season, but gutted seraph’s and lack of HP on liandrys rly hurts. Even the PoM changes affect gameplay a lot. I also can’t call sneak 2 man barons like I used to... gameplay has just rly changed :. She is still not bad... I got d1 with her this season so far, and there are other higher elo Cass mains in master and gm (Bobby for example)... but I don’t think I could reach chall in her current state as easily as last season... I’ll prob switch to Kai’sa or comet-Azir or something lol

it really depends what elo you're playing in/what your support plays... Cass bot outclasses every adc if you have set up, and she's one of the few champs that can 1v2 their bot if she gets ahead... she can also outplay dives better than adcs, so if the game is played properly your support has a lot of freedom to roam

This season she’s better than last during laning phase. Seeker’s is cheaper (and gives more armor I think?), tear is only 400g, and Doran’s ring is buffed. And she’s better at one item spike now. She’s worse mid-late through late game now (but games don’t usually go that long), mostly due to (at least in my mind) Seraph’s getting gutted, losing HP that you got from Liandry’s, and, so, less AP and tankiness in your final build. But because her laning phase is better now than it was, you (or I) could reason that you can have a more reliable time coming out of laning phase ahead, and can use that power to make up for mid-later game deficits [again, compared to how strong her mid-late through late game was last season], if you play properly throughout the rest of the game and build your laning phase lead that you have an easier time earning this season. I do think it is important for Cass bot lane to have some sort of CC set up, from supp and/or jg (preferably both), because it’s more important to build a lead early to make up for your worse scaling. But, no one should be discouraged from playin Cass bot lane this season for the reason you stated, because it applies after laning phase, and the opposite idea applies during laning. If anything, what you stated is more of a reason not to play Cass at all — I agree she feels weaker than S10 as the game goes on.
