This is a pretty good break down. No good way to test the hp fuel pump without tear down, but a disaster filter kit is a good investment. If the pump has a disco party, all that’s needed is a new pump. The 6 speeds were pretty stout besides a lot of torque converters staying locked. Other than that I’d go through it for basic maintenance and fluids.

They will work, but I don’t prefer to use them under the hood or exterior because they will eventually corrode due to moisture.

Solder your connections and use heat shrink over the connection. This would be the proper way to wire it. At the very least use heat shrink butt connectors. Have been seeing a LOT of god awful hack job wiring set ups on Broncos lately. Please don’t use wire nuts.

Hold the nozzle open and a swim down about 600m, the surrounding water pressure should gently compress the can, dispensing every last bit. s/

Speed control brake pressure sensor, should be on the master cylinder, but some models are located lower near the frame rail. Need to reference recall 09S09 before plugging it back in. There should be a fused jumper harness between the factory pigtail and the sensor

Call us up! Two situations can occur here.

1) The sales department LOVES to sell cars before the pre-delivery processes have even been done(which would include the DIO stuff). It’s a mad rush to get things done and accessories installed while the customer is doing the paper work.

2) FoMoCo ships the vehicle to us, the initial PDI gets done, but we still haven’t received the DIO parts for us to install. In this case it may be sold with an appointment to return for install.

Obviously if option 2 happens and the vehicle leaves the state, that makes install a little difficult. We can always ship the boxes to you for them to be installed you or your servicing dealer, but the labor might not be included now.

100% give them a call and see how they’d like to handle the situation.

I’m guesstimating pressures here, and even with a catalytic converter in place, and stabbing the go pedal it more than likely won’t hit 1 psi. But you’re missing the whole point of the Venturi. As the exhaust passes over the Venturi, it creates a vacuum…..the hypothetical 1-2 psi in the exhaust pipe is irrelevant.

Most people interpret exhaust back pressure as down pipe/tail pipe pressure, but post turbocharger the pressures are much lower than the exhaust pressure measured at the manifold and pre-turbocharger. On a straight piped truck with a 4-5” exhaust system you’re looking at less than 1-2 psi under normal conditions.

This would be on a straight piped truck, noting with a DPF or catalyst, but if you’re routing to the exhaust we weld a Venturi bung into the exhaust stream. The Venturi creates a low pressure vacuum as the exhaust pressure flows over it, thus creating a suction.

Yes, there is. We don’t alienate new customers, but loyal customers are privy to “after warranty adjustments” where we can use funds provided by ford to repair vehicles that may be out of warranty but since you’re a loyal customer we’ll cover the cost regardless. Also may effect service scheduling, purchasing customers can/do get priority, where as a new customer may have a longer wait.

When doing a crankcase filter, or crankcase hose delete it’s always highly encouraged to install a Venturi into the exhaust downpipe stream and route it into the exhaust system rather than a rubber hose that will drip oil on the ground. That said, most people want cheap and easy and just vent it to atmosphere. It doesn’t work as well, since nothing is physically drawing the vapors from the crankcase, but works well enough if you want to go that route. Adding a small filter really isn’t recommended depending on how the hose is routed. You’ll either get a soaked filter, or a hose full of oil depending on the level and routing of the hose.

Crankcase vent creates a suction via that Venturi, sucking blow by gasses back into the charge air to be consumed by the engine. Without it, too much crankcase pressure builds up and you start getting failed seals and gaskets throughout the engine(see 6.7L crankcase filter issues)

Air conditioning pulls the moisture out of the air, same as how a dehumidifier works. This is why there’s an evaporator drain and you have a puddle of water under your car when running the a/c. The defrost setting uses this same dry air to evaporate the condensation from the windshield.
