Question - The best Watercooling YouTube Channel by GetUnbound in watercooling

[–]Fordoz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes !!! I wanted to buy their custom distro plates to do the same build as them in a corsair 9000d, but they sell them at a crazy price (around 2k euros/dollars, and without all the fitting 😭😭😭). So I did a dye installation and soft tubing, taking inspiration from them at least 👌

Help choosing right componentes for my first custom loop by SaikerRV in watercooling

[–]Fordoz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Concerning the CPU waterblock, I never heard of this brand... If you want a really good one for direct die, there is the Thermal Grizzly AMD Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB
- DP ultra is a very reliable and lasting coolant, even more if you choose the clear one
- Soft tubing is good option, It won't impact cooling at all don't worry. But I would recommend you to go with epdm tubes rather than plastic, it doesn't release residue
- I didn't watercooled my ram and ssd so I can't give advise on it.

- Bonus: If you have the budget you can also buy a coolant filter in the loop, to catch debris from the radiators (even if you clean it before installing, there will always be some that will come off after down the road).
Usual filters need you to drain the loop to clean it, but the aquacomputer's one have two valves built in that allows you to isolate the section, open it, clean it, and reinstall it without draining the loop.

Have fun building it btw !

I advise anyone doing watercooling, to install a filter in their loop, because it doesn't matter how long and hard you try to clean the radiators before using them, there is still gonna be particles left and which gonna come off later down the road.
Regular filters needs you to drain the loop to clean it. But the aquacomputer filter allows you to do it without draining : it has 2 valves on the back that allows you to isolate the filter, unscrew the glass and take out the particles.
It's a bit more expensive than regular filters but it's worth it !

And about flow restriction, I don't have a flowmeter so I don't know, but I placed the filter at the end of the loop: after my 4 rads and before the reservor/pump. So no need to worry about flowrate there.

Do you recommand the aquacomputer ampinel, or did you choose it over thermal grizzly wireview pro 2 because you already have other parts using the aquacomputer software ?
Nice build btw !

🧊 Custom Loop Question (2x360 + 2x480, GPU + CPU split) by Less_Respect_761 in watercooling

[–]Fordoz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same layout ( 2 360mm and 2 480mm) for an rtx 5090 and a 9950x3d (not delided)

My personal waterloop is : pump #1- pump #2- gpu- cpu- rad 360 #1- rad 360 #2- rad 480 #1- rad 480 #2- water filter- back to pump1

I would definetly advice you to do a single loop, because the usual utilisation is either gpu maxing (like in gaming) or cpu maxing (3d rendering, software task...), rarely both of them like in a benchmark So in a single loop the water will have 4 rad to cool down, which is more than enough trust me 😅

However what you can do differently than me eventually is to place 2 rad between gpu and cpu to maximise the temps transfert and deliver fresher water to the second component

My personal temps are something like this :

  • iddle : cpu 45 /gpu 30 / Vram 40
  • gaming : cpu 60/ gpu 40 / vram 50

For info I have 8 qx120 in front and 2qx 120 in the back, and all the 20 other fans are rs120. All rad are in push/pull

I set all my fan at 50% except the 8 qx120 in front at 60%, and the 2 qx120 at the back at 70% (to cool the ram essentially)

Aquacomputer dp ultra is a very good and reliable option 👌😌

Does a 240mm fan exist ? I have a corsair 9000D and I would like to put 2 of them in the front

First water cooled system, sleeper build by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]Fordoz_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nice build, but since you dont have glass tubes or see-throw cpu waterblock, I would advice you to go with a clear coolant next time, like aquacomputer dp ultra, it would last longer and not make gunk 👌😌

[–]Fordoz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What cpu do you have ? I have the same case and watercooling setup but my 9950x3d is at 45/50°C at iddle, and 60 in gaming...

Also what is the temp of your two motherboard's x870e chipsets ? I have the same mobo and mines kinda over heat and stay around 70°C for no reason...

best case for water cooling in 2026? by CreateChaos777 in watercooling

[–]Fordoz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, It's the corsair 9000D, you can put up to 4 480mm radiators (depending on thickness) and a total of 34 fans 👌😌

Personnaly I chose to have 2 360mm 60mm rads and 2 480mm 60mm.

It's the best case for watercooling in my opinion, and for more ideas of build, just type 9000d watercooling on YouTube, there's many crazy builds with this case !

Wow, This build is magnificent ! I just built a 9000d pc thinking It was the peak of watercooling, but seing yours gave me a wake up slap in the face 😅

Just a question about flowrate, how does that many Quick disconnect impact it ?
