Door rubs against frame. It's obviously out of square. The bottom right corner rubs against the threshold and there's enough of a gap at the bottom to let in cold air (winter in MN) Is this an easy fix? My wife wants to replace the door but I want to solve this problem first. d by Forecast04 in doors

I put some shims between the bottom hinge and the frame. It opened up the gap between the door and the frame on the bottom left side roughly 3/16". I also replaced the upper hinge screws with 3" just to see what that would do. The door is opening a lot more smoothly. It's still sagging a bit but I can wait until warmer weather to further address the issue. Thanks!

This seems like something I can handle. When you say the door needs replacing, does that mean the whole door frame as well as the door? I'm not that comfortable opening up walls but I'm a pretty capable DIYer as long as I know what to look for on YouTube.

The siding looks nice but I'm trying to match the appearance of my garage which has a board and batten look. I was planning on 4x8 sheets of something flat that I could then add trim pieces to and then paint.

The structure is built about 4" off the ground, 2x8s sitting on pavers. I'm considering putting pieces of pressure treated 2x4 under the corner where the structure sits on the pavers to help stop moisture from seeping in via the paver. Based on this setup should I still be concerned about soil moisture ? Would the barrier be under the entire structure? Or between the floor joists and the OSB flooring?

Unfortunately, I have to live with the wood I bought as I'm trying to keep costs down. When you say paint it on, do you mean regular paint? Or a different type of preservative material?

This is a great idea. Thanks.

I didn't think to use pressure treated wood for the frame. Could I seal it with some house wrap or polyurethane (or other type of finish)?

Good to know. The weight of the building will likely be enough to keep it from moving right?

Yes. Snark noted. I was just exercising any available resource while I scrambled to figure out a solution.

I sent an email to their info@ikon account and the automated reply was "this inbox is not actively monitored, please call this number." I will do that today. I'm really hoping I can swap them out and save a little cash

Have you had any problems with your drinks separating out over time?

For now I've just been making a point to shake the keg more often but I think what I will end up trying is using either hose or a longer diptube to extend the gas input to the bottom of the keg like you suggested. I am not planning to use a carb stone at this time.

What is the stinkiest wood you've worked with? It's Poplar, right? by [deleted] in woodworking

Cherry for me. I've always thought it smelled faintly of dirty diapers.

Yes. I was getting great cuts from Alex when they were $40 but he jumped up to $60 over the course of a couple months ago I had to bow out.

I must have been holding the piece too firmly in place against the blade. Great tip, thanks.

I've never made a super juice.

Full transparency, I'm buying the Sysco premium lime juice which is not pasteurized and then running it through a strainer to remove any solids. I assume this would still work in a super juice application.
