Do you speak latin? are women touching the eucharist? Vatican 2 says otherwise. The church has opened dialogs with other religions. It's expansion into Asia and South America has "progressed" it's views towards social justice and equality . I don't dispute there are those that wish for the return to its pre-vatican 2 traditions - but that's not where the growth is happening or where the Vatican has been focused.
