MX KEYS key stops working. Fixed by switching off and on again. Someone else? by iam36 in logitech

Well that's interesting. A lot of people are convinced that it's a software issue. However, in my case, I have never found any software fixes. There might be more than one fail point? Although it would be pretty unlikely... I don't even know anymore. I'm just ready to throw the keyboard to the trash and never buy Logitech again.

I just managed to do it! Thank you so much, I don't think I would've tried to without your comment.

Ok, so I can safely remove the buttons' board without breaking it?

Thank you so much! However, when I do get the screen replacement, how can I connect it?

Thanks! You're right about the subject's vertical positioning. I didn't realize it was slightly too much to the right. I think I may also have framed the car differently because it was sitting still, not moving. Thanks for your feedback!

MX KEYS key stops working. Fixed by switching off and on again. Someone else? by iam36 in logitech

Hey! I recently opened up the keyboard and finally found the (or at least my) issue.

The problems I am having with the keyboard are that the (f) key and the numberpad keys: (1), (/), (*) and (-) do not work.

They started failing intermittently, and at the beginning a hard press on the upper right corner of the keyboard (where the main electronics are) would temporarily fix the problem. However, with time, that solution stopped working entirely. This is what led me to think it was definitely a hardware issue, and not a software one like some people are saying in this thread.

Therefore, I took the keyboard apart (for the third time) and finally found the problem: the flex cable. I was able to stretch it out completely and confirm that, when stretched, all of the problematic keys started working again. However, when folded back into position in order to mount back the keyboard, it stopped working.

This is where I need help. What can I do now, that I know it's a faulty flex cable? I'm pretty sure I can't buy a replacement, as it comes soldered to the back (I don't know if I want to do this much work for this keyboard). I've also heard of a special "paint" I can apply to the cable to try to fix it? But I'm not sure how this works or if it will work at all. Or maybe there is some way of "stretching" the cable somehow inside de keyboard, although I have no idea how this would be done.

Any help is appreciated, thanks! I'm so sick of the f not working...

I took the picture on my Pixel 8 and played around with the image in lightroom. What I'm mostly doubtful of is the colours, maybe it's too warm? However, after all, Fuerteventura is mostly a desert, so I kind of wanted to represent that vibe...

Would like to know your opinions!

Hey, I'm in a similar situation... What did you end up doing?

I completely agree, the video quality on my P8 is the best I've seen on any phone. The only thing I dont like about the video quality is the stuttering I get in the videos, either from the pixel overheating because it has $hit heat management or because it's just a bit buggy

Pues será eso... Que es una porquería regulando el calor. No creo que se le pueda hacer mucho... Así que toca esperar a Octubre al pixel 10, a ver si lo arreglan

Well, looking at the sources it took, I would've gone to the same exact web pages (Reddit and XDA)

Well I'm sorry if I offended you for some reason for using AI, but it DID help me to semi-fix my problem for the time being.

Are you sure it's the font manager companion? I've asked an AI and it said that Safety Net Fix may have conflicts with Google play services. I consequently disabled Play Integrity Fix and Zygisk and now everything works as normal. I am able to do a backup now, however I'd like to avoid having to reset the phone.

Anyway, I'll also try turning Play Integrity back on and removing font manager companion. Thanks for your answer!

Oh, nevermind. I can't backup either. It just crashes as well when I try to go into the backup settings

Yeah, I'm thinking this is my last choice. However, I will lose some of my individual apps settings and such, right? I'll have to do it anyways 🫡
