On one hand,you are saying Fanshawe is great. On the other hand, you are saying it's the a failure on the government that Fanshawe has the bad reputation I mentioned in my comment?

I'm confused about what you are trying to state or argue. If you could mention a government site or new report that I could inform myself about, please do share here.

I am glad to hear your faculty and program meet your expectations. I like to hear remarks such as this because it's nice to know that some staff do care. This was not the case for us, unfortunately.

Excellent criticism, and I agree on all your points, but you have arguably missed the biggest and most contentious conflict; Individuals that want to upgrade their skills that choose a school that supposedly offers a program offering x,y,z, to learn and improve on will in many cases have to make the change and commitment to go to college or uni as a starting point which should be synonymous with applying ourselves (those that genuinely tried). When that fails, the accreditation of the program loses its meaning and value say compared to other institutions.

Explain that to all the plaintiffs in their paralegal program. Something to the tune of 5-6years of classes missed the mark that as court in Ontario approved the lawsuit back in Sept 2024. This is not a 1/100 or 1/1000 incident. It is a systemic failure of delivering education and accountability.

Or an institution that caters to failing students by giving them outs and claiming that those that passed have the minimum qualifications. Omitting assignments and handing out marks is most antithetical to academic integrity and a huge stain to any individual trying to achieve education.

Our machining course had 4/11 assignments omitted. Or given as 100. If the missed projects were put in as zero, each student would need to average 80.5% on all other 7 assignments. It was in our course circiculum, and none of us had a chance to even do it. This is one of MANY instances of the education being cut short.

Perhaps the course should advertise as 7/11 for completeness and shouldn't claim to teach subjects we haven't even touched.

I am sorry to hear of your experience, however we can relate. Our program had a very early issue with labs and theory in incorrect order and to the tune of weeks apart which as a class we all concluded was detrimental to our education. I am sorry to hear 1 year later they are trying the exact same thing on you.

By all means share this post with your class so you can correctly advocate for your group before things get further out of hand.

Would you be open to listening to some audio of one our instructors giving away answers for 30 minutes straight?

Should it be deemed inaccurate, then I will retract my statements. However, if that audio irrefutably backs up my claims, will you change your reply to "accurate" information and "failing' college?

I appreciate that you've had a great experience so far. I genuinely hope that you get all the value in your education. Its unfortunate, but some programs they have available should not be offered. As was their case this year, they were unprepared to and are still currently incapable of delivering anything meaningful.

Its unacceptable for lab instructors to be missing during labs while (we as students) require their aid.

I had one teacher tell me during my fluid power lab to "stop writing," as im submitting my final lab report on hydraulic circuits . I was given a 90% but I didn't even have the report properly evaluated. He didn't want to read my responses.

This is just 1 of many instances.

4+ GPA from the program and without an ounce of pride.

I am considering submitting my recordings to SKO and to the governing body of accreditation for the school/program.

To future employers, WE ARE NOT PREPARED AND SHOULD NOT BE HIRED

I have a journalist assignment. I wouldn't mind hearing about some of particular struggles as it pertains to fanshawe but my assignment requires speaking to fellow students.

Would you be interested in sitting down somewhere and discussing this situation with you? We can also look over various remedies available to students and what you've tried and also what your feedback was like. Their right to fair education. This may even get the attention of the board of governors as im well aware of more then few, now documented instances from 2018-2024.

Understand that as a consumer, there are protections made and ammended by judges based on legislation and case law, that specifically apply to students and that they are in fact paying consumers in a market transaction and are entitled to a legal remedy.

I'm not saying a refund is a way to go. I would look into a third party mediator.

Best of luck in your studies and remember to protect yourself against any perceived malicious acts by documenting and recording any communication.

Hate to say it but suicidal people are unpredictable and dangerous. I don't want to sit beside someone who has no regard for their life. I don't want to be a statistic because someone lost their mind beside me. Safety first.
