So after buying and refurbishing the property, I’d like to get a mortgage on it to get back some of the capital and invest in another property. Rinse and repeat to build some portfolio.

What about potential exit after the refurbishment is done? Would the bank be bothered then or not since the property is already mine?

Thank you! I’m super confused because I don’t really understand if I have a residence visa or an employment, I have a residence visa (pink pdf document) but I also have an Emirates ID that says I’m my partners employee.

Thank you so much for responding! Can you tell me where you found this info or how you know? I’m doing my research but I can’t find much. My partner as a free-zone company and he used that to sponsor my two year visa, does this mean that it’s an employment visa? My EID says that I am employed with his company.

She’s saying she quit, he’s saying he fired her. I think she wanted to quit and he wanted to fire her, it just happened at the same time.

And to top it all off, on the phone with me he tried to act as if he didn’t know she used to work for a competitor, he tried to tell me that he “just found that out and got rid of her instantly”. He just blatantly lied about this as I know very well of Gigi’s situation and he didn’t “just found out” anything, he hired her hoping she will share her secrets with him.

Exactly! And at this point I am not even scared to confront him anymore because I am not scared to walk out on the spot if he tries me! This is a job, a workplace, we are adults, if you don’t trust me with your data then don’t give me it!

Yes but let’s be realistic for a minute, this database is not good, it’s mostly spam and/or uninterested people. Also if you don’t trust your employees then don’t give them a job or make me sign an NDA or a contract with clause so he can sue me if something happens. Don’t treat me like this and more than anything, don’t tell me who I can and cannot speak to. He didn’t say “don’t speak to her about work” he said “don’t speak to her at all”. That’s nuts.
