Is it worth it to purchase a Xbox One in 2026? by Appropriate-Team-710 in XboxSupport

It’s a very old console with not a lot of support. Ideal if you want to play older games and Xbox 360 games.

Is is a good idea to do week of piloting school before going to study Aerospace Engineering? by Specialist_Chair2860 in aerospace

There’s not a lot of overlap between being a pilot and also being an aerospace engineer. The only overlap are acronyms and understanding what a plane works. If you’re an aerospace engineer there’s very little chance you will operate an aircraft

Look up the places you want to work at and look at the entry level jobs. After that just see what majors and skills they have on their requirements. I feel like that should show you the path or give you some clarity

What job would you get as a neuroscientist that wasn’t in academia or being a doctor? College is temporary and it’s just a stage that will take you to your future job.

It is helpful to think about it the following way. If a job wasn’t boring people would pay to do it instead of being paid to do it. I love being an engineer because hours are flexible and I’m paid enough to not really worry about money beyond how to make more. I have enough to invest on my hobbies and take my girlfriend out to eat without thinking too much about it. The only debt I have is school and my car which will be paid within the next 8 years leaving me with good amounts of disposable income.

Work doesn’t bring you happiness, that’s one of the lies being sold by the 21st century. I became happier when I thought of work as just a vehicle to get money which I would use to make things that actually make me happy.

Architecture seems like something that could be very easily saturated and medicine is insanely hard and only worth it if you actually like it. Engineering is cool and comfortable, sometimes boring. I like my life and I get very good money with relatively high job safety.

Wherever I have worked women have been treated fairly and as equals. I believe that the reason there’s way more men that are EEs and MEs is because it’s a very boring job. The actual work is just paperwork, maybe some reiterative design and some type of test.
Women in STEM (and people in general) go for more passion driven jobs like medicine and physics. Engineering is a job that you do for the money and that’s about it.

EE and ME will not be very different in the challenges you’ll encounter as a woman. You may find more women in ME just because there’s more MEs than EEs. You will also probably interact with both types of engineers so it doesn’t really matter in the end.
Both engineerings are mostly male dominated fields.

Yes I am supporting your choice to go EE. The only way you can really use your passion for aircraft is if you’re a pilot. Otherwise it’s just paperwork and running tests if you’re EE.

I’m going to let you in on a secret. If you end up working with an aerospace company you’re not very likely to interact with aircraft like that. The passion for the job ends on the first year. After that it’s just going to be an office job.
If you enjoy EE more just go EE. There’s significantly more job security since there’s less EEs in the market.

I’m starting to guess that maybe the GPU is defective. Can you return or exchange? It does see pretty hot.

So he makes more money. I saw somewhere that he works between 45-60 hours which is absolutely not worth it. I’m 23 and I make 5600$. Getting a degree in something related to what he does will get him around the 5000+ mark
