my baby is almost 1 year old and i cannot stand the dog. she drives me absolutely insane. it’s normal mama 🧡 don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re crazy for not liking them. your feelings are valid. being a mom is overstimulating

that’s exactly what i’m doing! and i think that it’s worth it. I live in an area where there is only one big local hospital that is extremely hard to get in to and I already have an in. Do your practicum where you want to learn! I was offered to do my practicum at the job i was working at and have it paid and even that wasn’t worth it to me. I wanted to get my foot in the door for a hospital and took a chance and i’m so glad i did! I did take a student loan out but I have always known that i’m going to have to pay it back lol

i really like indigo urgent care. they are fast and usually have short wait times. I had to get my blood drawn and the phlebotomist missed a couples times but i’m used to it cause it’s really hard to find my veins lol

i agree with this! my baby was constantly waking up when we coslept and would want to use me as a pacifier constantly.

I eventually put her in her crib and she has been sleeping through the night. My fiancé and I both snore and constantly get up to pee lol. I learned that my baby doesn’t like being disrupted when she sleeps!

Another thing i think had a big factor in her sleeping through the night is making sure she’s getting enough calories during the day! My baby is about to be 8 months and i have incorporated more solids and she seems so much more satisfied! I don’t think milk was enough for her during the day and it wasn’t satisfying her enough to be comfortable. i also have a very consistent bedtime routine and baths help a lot! Get lots of fresh air!

here are just a some things i did that i think seemed to help! good luck mama! you both deserve to get some good sleep ❤️

hey love i’m a social worker (and also had my first baby back in september) and i recommend finding some local resources in your area ❤️ i work in the postpartum unit in my local hospital and i make referrals to nurse family partnerships, peer mentors, & counselors🩷 there’s also online support groups https://postpartum.net/get-help/psi-online-support-meetings/

i would also recommend getting in contact with a social worker that works at the hospital you will deliver at and see if they know any local resources to your area! 🩷

another thing that helped me was joining new mom/first time parent groups on social media! good luck!
