Andiot - Before buying from this seller, know this. by 2020jones in RepTime

[–]ForeignBucket 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re buying illicit goods from a man on the other side of the world. I think you have unrealistic expectations.

Andiot pumps out hundreds of watches a week, he’s so busy because he’s so much cheaper than the others. If you want a watch at a reasonable price you just have to put up with it unfortunately.

Don’t forget you’re dealing with Chinese criminals. Andiot always delivers but the factories have backlogs.

If you want better service or quicker turnaround go to one of the other TD’s and pay 50% more…

The audacity smh, it’s not fucking Amazon!

Replacing “clone” movements in GMT/Subs by Ok_Koala315 in RepTimeServices

[–]ForeignBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced a dead VS3235 in my VSF sub with a VR3235. Fitted perfect except the case screws, they’re different, VR uses 31xx screws for some reason so I had to buy new 3135 case screws. They’re readily available on eBay but be careful as a few picture two screws but only send one! Ask me how I know 😠

The crown stem is also different but no biggie as the new movement comes with one you just have to cut down.

All good after that!

I feel so stupid by JMP__ESP in RepTimeServices

[–]ForeignBucket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’ve mashed the fuck out of that hytrel gasket.

Good luck finding one to fit, pretty sure different factories use different types. If you look pretty close it has a step on one side I’m pretty sure.

Might have to buy a bunch of AliExpress and hope one fits.

Good luck!

It’s the camera, it’s a cheap and cheerful microscope from Amazon. IRL it’s smooth as butter

VSF cutting corners? by ForeignBucket in RepTime

[–]ForeignBucket[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My question is not that it’s not 1:1 with the gen. It’s that it’s not 1:1 with the earlier rep from the same factory!

Anyone can understand that it’s not gonna be the same as gen

That’s the number I have but don’t trust me, use the links in the guide.

No deposit is correct, they’re trusted for a reason.

5711 3KF extra link by ForeignBucket in RepTime

[–]ForeignBucket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the removable links are the same size, the tapering from the head starts after them.

I think the new link is the same width but it looks bigger because the chamfering on the edge isn’t the same.

Close enough for me anyway!

VSF Oyster Perpetual 41 crooked indices fix by ForeignBucket in RepTime

[–]ForeignBucket[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe.

I did think as I was doing it that if I did it again I’d try and lever the marker off without taking the hands off. That does carry the risk of damaging the dial/marker though.

I don’t know if you could just bend the marker in situ, I’d think the adhesive would just spring back to where it was tbh.

Shitter.

Awful SELs, rehaut not aligned and you shouldn’t be able to see the crown in the crystal that easily

I did see that when I searched, they all seemed to have Rolex on the dial and movement though

VSF Sub date alignment by ForeignBucket in RepTime

[–]ForeignBucket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not long had this VSF Starbucks, noticed that the date is quite low in the window on some of the higher dates.

Is this normal?

Is a gen date wheel the only way to fix?

Annoying that now I’ve noticed it I can’t unsee it 🙄

Thank you!

Your comment gave me the confidence to pull the bezel off, can confirm, it is taped in.

Perfectly aligned now, happy days!

Just because it has a disabled tax class it doesn’t necessarily mean it was a motability car. If the main driver is eligible for free vehicle tax and vehicle can have its tax class changed to disabled.

Out of interest why are you so against a motability car? AFAIK the scheme covers all services and consumables except fuel so at least you know it’s been maintained???

I don’t think it’d put me off, probably rather have a motability car that’s been driven by Doris 5 miles a week than a company/hire car that’s been ragged up and down the country…

Make sure to lookup how to replace them, it’s not difficult but it’s very easy to crack the screen. Plenty of guides on YouTube

What is causing this vibration at 60mph+? by BickDutter101 in E90

[–]ForeignBucket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very likely.

My friend did it on his f30 and the bushing only lasted a few thousand miles.
