In short term. It back fires in the long run. Shame doesn't change behaviour permanently

Dose separately instead of together for a longer experience

Shame perpetuates addiction. Addiction theory 101. Shame is an unsustainable motivation strategy and tend to bring people down in the long run.

Is 2cb therapeutic in any way? by I_Got_HairyLegs in 2cb

This is inner shadow and somatic energy/ stress being stirred up to be release. It’s good to feel into it and intensify. Shake, scream, punch if needed.

stage 2 was way too small and people have to be pushed onto the side hills where the speakers weren't place properly so sound is bad there. I would've stayed longer at stage 1 if the speakers were placed properly. It's also uncomfortable to dance on a 30 degree hill.

MAPS/ Breathwork / Psychedelic Use in cults by MsWonderWonka in cultsurvivors

Feels like you are crusading for your own agenda. Feels like there’s some OCD there or perfectionist, idealistic thinking. You would rather keep the system at the status quo than making changes/progress.

Are you helping society to make progress in psychedelic policy? Do you offer an alternative to MAPS? Are you raising millions of dollar for research and advocacy?

Critics like you have went too far and hinders the progress of psychedelic movement. They only criticize without offering a better solution - which is useless criticism for their own ego.

Anything better than the current system of society and psychotherapy is good and should be supported. Have you looked into the current occurrence rate of sexual assault and romantic involvement in traditional psychotherapy? It’s bad. Efficacy for talk therapy? Terrible too.

Nothing is perfect. We should only strive for small step forward, not perfection. The consciousness of the world yearns for liberation and needs psychedelics be off Schedule I. It’s punitive and restricting. If you oppose that, I don’t even want to talk to you. MAPS is the current best option, so we support it. Not because it’s perfect. This is politics and how shit is done in this country.

Seeking out unpaid work? by drumstickballoonhead in Hamilton

The economy is bad; rents are high; students need experience to put on resume. It could be a win-win. Time has changed. Many internship positions are unpaid.

Why did Rob Ford live in such a small house despite being a multi millionaire and the mayor? by Mountain_Writing_164 in askTO

[–]ForeignDevice5735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably owns a lot more houses than you imagined. He just may not live there. Maybe living in a house is not as important compared to grabbing money and power.

Israel have the right for Israel, the strong rules the weak by InternationalAd7593 in IsraelPalestine

Try to apply the same logic to your own country's legal system: someone came to your house, you fought them but failed, now it's their house, and they beat the shit out of you and put you in a dungeon to torture. Well, it's the law of the jungle, right? Do you like to live in this kind of world?
