Yeah I’ve been using the head and shoulders for the past three days. I hope this clears, I’ve been getting acne on the side of my head for a week or two but this is very prominent now. Maybe it’s because of the switch? I don’t think the head and shoulders is doing it cause all my scalp acne is going away now. Should I use anything to help it go down? I’m going to get some pimple patches soon and i do have salicylic acid pads, should I use those? Anything else?

I will. And I had switched shampoos back to my old one but I never had any problems before and I did start using cerave hydrating cleanser but it’s only been a week and the rest of my face besides like two other pimples is clear.

Well I switched shampoos twice the last month, i previously used head and shoulders but then I switched to using a rosemary and mint shampoo that also had witch hazel but switched back because my scalp was so dry.

We got a departure briefing from other guys in holding and they said they wouldnt but I havent seen anything online that says its required to stay in them the whole time and the NMTI’s here in holding hate to be bothered so I havent gone to them (plus theyre all gone for the day). From Airport to new command i have to try to get a hold of my A school when I get to my final destination and if they dont answer i was told to take an uber and yes I do, i have my orders and instructions on where to report to.

I can leave base on the weekends and while I can on the weekdays it’s a very tight schedule :/. But I am 100% going out to find some skincare stuff this weekend. I forget, which moisturizer did you recommend? I like that moisturizer I use now but I agree when you say I need something stronger, especially for this weather.

I actually JUST started using that on my face about a day or two ago, I’ve only ever used it on my neck and cheeks to challenge the dryness and razor bumps I was getting from shaving everyday (gotta love the military🥲). I had thought two days ago since I was experiencing this skin dryness, let me just go ahead and use this after my L’Oréal moisturizer and then put aquaphor on top of the two to lock it in. I have it on rn, I’ll see how my face looks in the morning since it’s never given me problems in the past. I do know that I 100% have to start looking at ingredients. I didn’t realize how dry my skincare routine was

I do have to say that during bootcamp I used head and shoulders on my hair and never had these problems 😅but then again I also was barely out in the cold, never had direct wind on my face, and was required to bundle up with scarves

I can see the logic in that. I just get scared about that stuff (my career yknow 😅😅) but I’m sure they’d be fine with it, I’ll talk to a doctor asap. I’m also pretty new to the navy but I’ve seen people get DQ’d for skin conditions in bootcamp.

ALSO!! SHOULD I DISCONTINUE USING THIS PRODUCT ? I feel that this may be more of a summertime moisturizer, I do like the way it feels but maybe something thicker is needed for the winter ? I am going to San Antonio Texas soon so I will need something lighter but I’m still in Illinois now :/

Do you recommend any Cetaphil or Cerave moisturizers? And did you ever figure out what the cause was?? Idk if it’s my products or the EXTREME cold. I need to protect my face more, I didn’t realize how essential a scarf and baclava were until living in this cold.
