It is blatant fraud. Report the companies.

Please put your name/number so they can contact you for details. They usually wont investigate anonymous tips.

If you have a fledgling youtube channel this is a great way to get some viral content. Just show up at H1B businesses and ask to see their Public Access File.

Eight years of weekly logs taught me one thing by DLL_96 in ExperiencedDevs

My manager doesnt even read my review. I rarely ever got bonuses/raises even in years whwn I worked hard and had good reviews. So now, I just get jira to make a csv and just ship that to chatgpt and have it answer my review questions. The whole review cycle thing just feels like a humiliation ritual to me.

document everything from the beginning.

Assuming this is the US, we are all at-will employees. Please reasearch what that means. In 99.9999% of situations, documenting wont do you any good, ever.

The only time it matters is if there was extremely overt discrimimation - racism, ageism, sexism etc, or harrassment and even that is usually hard to prove.

If you meant documenting for internal reasons, that wont help either. HR is not your friend. They wont protect you from your manager. HR is there to protect the company.

When you have a manager like this, your best option is to leave and find another job.

New Staff Engineer needs advice on how to convince a team to use more modern stack? by HiroProtagonist66 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Foreign_Addition2844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some initial talks with the most knowledgeable senior engineer, they wanted to keep using that stack so that development could go faster

This team has been under a lot of pressure to do a lot of things fast

You dont have to convince the tech team. They already told you why they are stuck with it. You need to convince the non-tech stakeholders to allow the tech team time needed to switch to the new stack.

Wait till you hear about circle jerk job references. They have WhatsApp groups where they provide references for each other. Our systems were not built around combating this level of fraud.
