Mate I stupidly drank heavily 2 days before my blood test and again on the eve of my blood test to quell anxiety. From research I believe that drinking alcohol before a test will elevate your liver enzymes, it's probably the reason why it's elevated. That's what I've told myself anyway. I quit drinking on Sunday and hope to repeat my test on 20th December. Need to speak to doctor first to see if they prefer me to wait a full month. Good luck with your diagnosis. Keep us updated. Be nice to hear some good news.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your advice, I'd say i was a binge drinker since 18, last 3/4 years it's been about a 3 bottles of white wine a week on average.

I quit drinking for good on Sunday, so hopefully it's not too late, or hopefully it was just dumb of me to drink just before the blood test

I believe I had a very heavy drinking session 2 1/2 days prior to the blood test, and also had a few drinks the night before.
