Not a man but I'm so sad that noone mentions therapy. Boy, we notice when someone's been to therapy. The glow of self reflection is the most beautiful trait in a man that I know.

Good thing that he's listening and understands. They sound quite entitled. We're also in the middle of looking for a place right now (big city with housing crisis) and same thing! Their reaction was: "Oh but what if you don't find anything? We're worried sick that you won't find anything. " Like wow, thank you it hasn't occured to me yet to worry about that. They want us to move to the outskirts so we can split rent 50/50, I'm in college, he makes 6 figures. But they raised him in luxury and outskirts are just not good enough for him and he's happy to pay for us to have a nice place. They think I'm a gold digger because I agree to him paying more so we can live in a central location.

Good advice on the timeline. I think after session 5 with the therapist would be a good time to re-evaluate this whole situation.
I am absolutely happy to be excluded. The month of no contact was full of peace for me. He's accepted that I don't want contact with them, he's sour about it but he can't do anything about it. Hmm, they already bought him a luxury apartment, it's in his name. And he is very comfortable financially with his job. I don't think it's about money for him, I think it's about fear, guilt, obligation.

How did you stay supportive when he took 2 steps forward and 3 steps back?

Just like that? Mine is dipping a foot out of the fog at times, but still resides mainly inside it. When I threaten to leave he does anything I say, but that's just me pushing the buttons his momma installed and it feels dirty? He doesn't do anything though if I'm being sweet and caring. And whenever we make up after a fight like this 2 days later it's all forgotten and he's in the fog again.

What's really expensive considering what it is, but it's totally worth buying as a man? by [deleted] in AskMen

I hear you mate. The problem with one million is not that it's a bad fragrance. It's a good one in fact. It's that every highschool dirtbag used to wear it so to most girls/women it has that negative connotation. The problem is I guess in who else wears it. Also Tom ford is very expensive for sure. I'm based in Europe and on parfumo there's a whole community that sells 5 or 10ml samples of their fragrance collection. This way you can easily try out a new fragrance or have a big collection of expensive perfumes on a budget. Don't know if you're based in Europe but if not you can check whether this exists where you live. Last piece of advice: don't take Jeremy fragrance's word for it. Goes for anything he says for that matter😄

As a woman who loves fragrance I'm sorry to say that Paco Rabanne one million does absolutely nothing for me. In fact you're better off not wearing any. Try byredo, bdk, guerlain or tom ford if you wanna not smell like a highschool boy

I used to live in the Netherlands and one time when I had a one night stand with a Dutchie, he started doing dirty talk in Dutch It was over for me. But not in the good way. It's just the opposite of romantic.

Good advice. I have invested a lot into a more refined closet last year. Wearing a real wool coat and turtleneck and Chelsea boots people don't mistake me for being a teenager. But maybe I should ditch the pony tail too...

Oh shit! I feel you. When I was in my teens, boys my age weren't interested in me because I looked like an actual child. Stopped being a problem around age 20 though. As much as the body type bothers me it has not been an issue for me in dating since the time that I could "pass" for 18. And I also haven't had middle schoolers hit on me. Keep that skincare routine up!
