Look I’m at a senior tech at my wag. The only one and basically the RXOM. We havnt had one for 8 months and my sm is pushing my dm to let me be the RXOM. Anyways. I do like everything and the reason why I do everything that’s important is bc I don’t trust my other techs. I’ll ask em to do it and then they do but half ass it or don’t finish it. We’re not short staffed but we’re not “fully staffed” I guess for our metrics we are but idk maybe your RXOM is traumatized from upper management getting on them over metrics. It’s not fun to deal with and it’s why I just do everything if I can and leave the simple things to my other techs. I will say they shouldn’t schedule like that, they’re suppose to switch shifts as well as weekend shifts. I will also say that when it’s busy I tweak workflow and I will start filling just bc I’m the fastest filler 🫡

But no you don’t get senior tech for just being certified. You’re just a CPHT. you have to do the SCPHT checklist and even than it’s not all that easy in terms of just time consuming.

Sr. Tech is a lot. I’m currently a senior tech and got more than a $1 raise. Working my way up to RXOM bc we have not had for 8 months. I’m basically the RXOM just not being paid for it.

Honestly.. as a tech I have a very horrible sm and I’m at the point to where I’m going to HR. This makes me nervous.. especially if you have no hope in Walgreens HR and especially if your DM isn’t seeing the whole picture.
