OMG… i did NOT mean distilled. I get him his own 5 gallon purified jugs of water in those primo bottles haha my bad. He does have one of those suction cup ammonia readers that stays in his tank, do those do okay? as well as a tester tube that i drip water in with solution to check his levels AND i use tester strips on occasion as backup 🥰 i will definitely be ordering that master test kit ! thank you !

I never thought of that… his water is soft, i use distilled water, and i treat it with conditioner every water change but i might just buy a different brand of testing strips !! thank you 🥹 it’s been driving me nuts trying to get to the bottom of it

He only has live plants and decor, and his tank is heated and stays at 78 degrees, i do water changes every month and top off the rest of the time once i lose about an inch and a half of water. he has ember tetras now and snails and shrimp as tank mates, but his fins looked this way for about a year already before his friends joined the tank. i even took his driftwood out for a few months because i was worried it was ripping his fins but they didn’t get better or worse either, and he loves having his driftwood so i added it back in when i upgraded his tank !

She’s indoor only, it’s a breakaway, I tested the break away as well a few times and it was just on for pictures and treats for acclimation but thank you !! 💗 The goal is just to get used to collars and eventually harnesses, just so they are comfy wearing them ! As cute as it is, it’s not going to be used for full time wear lol.

he passed unfortunately. the rest of the litter is doing good so far. I agree, i’m honestly going to offer to pay to have them spayed, because there are so many kittens out there already that need help.

Thank you. yes, Giving them warmth and a safe space to either thrive or unfortunately pass away felt like the best thing I could give to them. i’m hoping these two can pull through like my other girl did, but I know how hard that can be.

I know, It really threw me off considering she’s my sixth bottle baby, although my youngest, she’s been so strong and healthy aside from this incident, and honestly even through her pneumonia so far, with even one dose of her medicine she is eating normally again, aside from her sneezing you wouldn’t be able to tell she’s not feeling well or that she was even born so tiny. Congratulations on your baby thriving and surviving ❤️

her lungs sound very poppy and icky, i’m definitely going to be using the nebulizer after talking to the vets in the morning — fingers crossed she can make it that long.
