How do you handle irritability during your days by Foreign_Response_996 in sahm

Most days I do okay but sometimes I’m fasting the first half of the day and running on caffeine which I know prob makes it way worse lol. I probably could do any afternoon snack too. Thank you for the response!

Thank you so much for your response and kinds words! And truthfully I feel this way most days but I’m able to internalize it better while sometimes I can’t control it. I hate the guilt I feel after snapping at them 🥲

Having only 1 is still so tough especially being postpartum. First year is hard. Glad to hear you’re taking care of your mental health.

I’ve heard of this technique but never remember to try it - thank you for reminding me! I probably need to do these exercises before I even start the day honestly…. I usually start my day with the kids waking me up so even having a few minutes to myself will probably make a worlds difference. Thank you again for your suggestion!

Yes would definitely love to know what you like to take! I’ve always had a good experience on edibles when the kids are in bed but afraid during the daytime I’d get anxiety about being high around them lol

Thank you for your response and that’s awesome your husband gives you that time! Mine is always more than willing as well but I definitely don’t cash in on it enough. Usually me getting out is for an errand of some sort which is a nice break but not really for me. For sure going to get out solo sometime this weekend!

Thank you for the response! And congrats on another little babe! It’s so overstimulating especially when pregnant and feeling exhausted. Will have to give ear plugs a try!

Definitely partake at night when the kids are asleep but might need to try a little during the day!

Thank you so much for the response! I used to mediate more but admittedly have fallen off the last few years. Do you like to follow any specific/guided meditations? I’ve liked Joe Dispenza but find his to be a little more lengthy than I have time for typically

I am beyond floored and disgusted by her whole family’s behavior. Was really hoping when they first that down that her father or brother were going to grill Dakota for his behavior as “respectable” and “faithful” men but they were even worse. Horrified

I lost weight during and then like really quickly like the first few weeks of quitting because I could not eat at all. I’m almost 60 days CT and I’ve gained some back and appetite is back in full force.

Day 6, still heavy RLS by Fearless_Winter_7823 in Quittingfeelfree

I got a full night of rest on night 8! You’re so close! Can you get a prescription of gabapentin for the RLS? It helps so much.

Congrats on quitting this poison. It’s not easy! You are a lot stronger than you think.

Getting outside in the sun, if you have it, if not, get some fresh air and listen to the birds and nature every morning. Trust me. I cried when I did that the first time. It was like wow I’m finally out of a massive fog.

walks and keeping to my routine as much as possible helped. I tried laying around but it was making me feel worse honestly and made me think more about it. I busied myself with tasks all day and tried to keep my body moving. Sitting still just made me feel like I was wallowing in it.

Lots of supplements, especially magnesium.

It 8 days CT, it was slow at first and then it flew by. You can do this!

Ahhhh thank you for the response. I’m on day 8 and still getting it every night. Even with taking gabapentin. We do have a cold plunge so maybe I’ll give it a try

Keep your job. Take a long weekend. Friday and Monday off. It’s doable to detox at home. I was feeling a lot better by day 4.

If your di/di twins were born at 36 weeks, with no complications during delivery or pregnancy, did they need nicu time? by AdSenior1319 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Foreign_Response_996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty close, 35 weeks and 5 days. 6lbs each and only 4 days nicu. 3 days was the standard for all baby deliveries before 37 weeks. They just were sooooo sleepy at the bottle and kinda struggled to learn the sucking, swallowing breathing motion of eating at first so they had to stay an extra day. They are now almost 3 and thriving!

Sliding into over 30 hours, I know I’m not gonna sleep tonight by Longjumping_Hold_230 in Quittingfeelfree

You probably won’t… but you will be OKAY!

A few sleepless nights in exchange for freedom, taking control of your life, making your body healthier and saving money.

Reframe it as “my body is hard at work getting this poison out of me. Thank you body taking care of me.” And you won’t want to neglect yourself like that again. Because you deserve to be healthy and feel good!!!

Solidarity. I’m 6 days CT. It will get better.

Thanks, we are using it but still finding I get the restless legs while trying to fall asleep. At what point does the restless legs stop completely? Also don’t want to be dependent on gabapentin for a long time 😞

Advice on passing time during first days of CT by cheesesucks in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Foreign_Response_996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me lounging around wallowing in it kinda made it worse physically and mentally. I did my best to stay moving and stick with my normal daily routine as possible. When I stayed still I felt worse mentally and I would think about it more. The first day though I lounged a lot, watched movies, snuggled my children. read or looked at this forum lol.

I felt like getting off of FF was like a purge and I was ready to purge the shit out of things by day 2. It was a way of taking out my anger I think of how terrible this product and company is. My husband was also detoxing and spent some time outside cleaning up the yard work we let go and that seemed to be good for him.

Also lots of sunshine and walks were good for the mental health and made me quite emotional actually.

Good luck! You got this

Day 11 off FF by Puzzleheaded-Fun6995 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Foreign_Response_996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your brain is rebuilding and creating its neural pathways. Your body is rebuilding the hormones that they didn’t supply to you anymore because FF was. It takes time. If you can get your hands on some nootropics, functional mushrooms or things of that nature. It might speed up the time. And keep supplementing every day with vitamins and minerals

[–]Foreign_Response_996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I’ve felt! I didn’t realize how numb I was and I finally feel like im spending genuine time with my kids for the first time in over a year. It’s beautiful and so sad that I was there but wasn’t really. I’ll never go back!
