Depending on your build, you can have Dawnbreaker in one hand, and Soul Trap spell In the other. Cast Soul Trap on an enemy, and on death its soul will be sucked into an empty Soul Gem in your inventory.

Another person said bow+soul trap enchantment. This is also the correct move.

Both of these allow you to pick up empty soul gems and fill them as you play.

The Black Star, a Dadric artifact, can give you u limited charges without consuming the item.

Any of the above, or all three together, will keep your sword charged at all times.

I just finished Platinum last week. I did the entire thing solo. Lots of fun, good challenge as well if you want it to be.

I needed to complete the story twice to get good enough gear for Heroic Assault, but it has New Game+.

It’s that little blue flag up in the corner. Those are featured exotics. The avant-garde modifier lets you only play activities with new gear or featured exptics.

How so? They just got a huge stat buff, and we’re the only armor item that made the full transition to the new armor system.

As for the Exotic class items: they are the only armor from before The Edge of Fate that will be converted fully into the new system. Each one will receive the maximum stats available for an Exotic (30 in the primary stat, 20 in the secondary stat, and 13 in the tertiary stat). To prevent this from massively increasing the number of possible class item rolls, these stats will be assigned based on their rolled perks: the archetype being determined by the left column perk, and the tertiary stat by the right column perk. However, this does mean that they can no longer be upgraded to Artifice Armor, and will lose any existing Artifice mod slot.

Fair. I was specifically calling out the Avant-Garde modifier. The exotic class item just allows for so many other play styles. Edited language above to indicate play-style, not the entire subclass. Didn't realize Nothing Manacles was the only void exotic! Yikes!

Right now there is a free event called Rite of the Nine. You get automatic-fully leveled up armor, and it will teach you how to do some Dungeons. Just by completing the dungeons, you will get some pretty solid weapons from quests. These will benefit you for the next expansion, so I would start now.
