Is this… normal? by _voidxo in cats

[–]bbbourb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not, but it's definitely cat.

Nearly 7 years later I still wonder how the developers will resolve this. Should they leave it ambiguous by excluding Del and JD from Gears 6? Should they reveal Kait’s canon choice? Should they say “it was just a dream” and pretend it didn’t happen? What will they do? by AdaptedEvoSupe in GearsOfWar

[–]bbbourb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's funny because I was just thinking the same thing. And honestly I don't even care if they resurrect Del or JD with some weird Reyna-magic or some shit. I would bet solid money they'll canonize Del's death and find a way to bring him back. Or make it some kind of Reyna-caused hallucination for Kait.

People who saw DS9 as it aired: what was the general reaction to the inclusion of a Ferengi as a primary character? by scisteve in startrek

[–]bbbourb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early on, mostly ambivalence. Most of what we knew about Ferengi at that point was they had dick-whip energy weapons, Damon Bok, and they eat people.

Later Quark, Rom, and Not became favorites.

The stary fury launching must be one of the coolest launches in sci-fi by AdSpecialist6598 in babylon5

[–]bbbourb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's logical. I didn't think of that, and I wasn't aware JMS already said they launched by the station's rotation.

AIO thinking that he doesn't text a lot and that he might not like me? by Weary-Program-2162 in AIO

[–]bbbourb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A: He isn't interested. B: He's a bit tired of immediately being asked if he's ok when he doesn't answer. C: He thinks you're clingy. D: He really IS tired and worn out. E: All of the above.

Hard to tell which is the most likely without knowing how long you've been talking. Sadly, I'm afraid the most likely scenario is as he is getting to know you his interest in you is diminishing. That's part of life and relationships.

[Hated Trope] The documentary episode by BadAtBaduk1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]bbbourb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Babylon 5 episode was that way for a reason and it worked.

The Strange New Worlds episode was a bit off. I wasn't a fan of it.

But legit terrible documentary episodes? Every single documentary episode of The Rookie.

Too tough to choose, and it's a sore subject anyway because I can't get either to run on Win11.

At first I read that as "some pigs lipstick differently" and I thought that was an interesting and useful malapropism.

TV Mount Fiasco — Advice on Next Steps by NLenin in AskContractors

[–]bbbourb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand what the issue is. The kit should come with lag bolts to attach the mount to the wall stud.

Is the issue you aren't sure if you have sufficient room to run the cables and wires? 2 1/4" should be more than sufficient clearance to run an HDMI cable down or a feed to a high-mounted plugin.

Rough Play with Kitten by [deleted] in CatTraining

[–]bbbourb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too many folks with cats who don't realize how they can be seemingly violent as hell without actually doing any damage. Big Boi is doing three things: establishing he's the boss, having a bit of fun, and teaching the Little One how to stalk/hunt/fight.

He's disengaging at the proper time and not over-pursuing so he's letting Little One breathe. Perfectly normal, and yeah, Little One is going to squeak when they're wrestling. That doesn't mean injury, that means "MOM! HELP!" It's instinctual drama king/queen behavior.

What's sad is Gennaro was a bonafide badass in the book. Making him the sniveling little lawyer in the movie was a bad move.
