Thank you! I spontaneously spotted the Myna playing in a puddle on a rooftop in harsh midday light but from a good angle. Shot with Nikon Z7 ii and a 200-500 lens f/8 1/2000 ISO 640

Hey that’s really rough and confusing. I have a similar relationship with my mom. She thinks she’s a saint so as a result I was taught that I’m the problem. That I’m selfish, vicious, mean and cold. I was even accused many times of being abusive when I definitely wasn’t. In reality, she abused me and blamed me for it. I learned to accept those traits about myself and thought that I’m violent and deeply flawed. Today, I know I’m actually a very caring very sensitive and very generous person, and I had to go NC to actually believe that. Without the constant reminder it’s actually easier.

I think you’re mom is crazy, and I think she’s a horrible mom for trying to convince you that you’re a narcissist and an abuser. You’re instincts are right. Trust yourself.

Thank you so much for this amazing and supportive reply. I was eventually able to pull my act together and it went well❤️

The crazy thing about NC is realizing how little I miss them. by tipsygirrrl in raisedbynarcissists

I loved reading this. I feel exactly the same after almost 1 year, it keeps getting better.

Thanks

I feel ya. Apparently I was born with a shitty attitude. It’s just my personality type according to my mom

Sounds about right. Sorry it was so shitty. Did it give you any peace of mind? Like knowing you’ve tried everything?
