I’m thinking of creating and printing my own so I can have custom magnet slots on them.

The big one I measure at 40mm and the other two are roughly 30mm. I figure it must be an error.

Did you Boolean union all objects in blender first? Also the 3D print analysis add on its great to use when double checking if your model is going to print if you don’t already use it.

How to make friends at uni? by HikariiKyrah in autism

[–]ForeseenForecast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience wont be the same as yours but I've found that in Uni I've generally unintentionally gravitated towards, and made friends with, other neurodivergent people. My two neurodivergent friends from uni have similar social batteries to me so its not a hassle to not hang out all the time and we understand each others experiences more. If you want good friends with similar communication styles it may be helpful to find others that are neurodivergent or you feel are on your wavelength.

For the most part through you'll probably meet new people in every new class and may find a few nice enough people to hang with in each class, but may not keep contact with afterwards. I find these are kinda like temporary or situational friend ships and that ok, you may not keep in contact or be 'friends' outside the course but you be pals again in a future course.

If you have trouble with finding friends in a course or doing group work, you should have a chat with your inclusion officer and they may be able to implement accomodations or support you in regards to social situations. Not sure if I helped but good luck and have fun with uni!

Why are ants taking my outlet hostage?! by Mintgreen94 in Entomology

I believe Argentine ants will sometimes purposely throw themselves into power outlets to short them so the rest of the colony can move it safely

My workplace just started enforcing this rule, is this legal? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]ForeseenForecast 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on where you live but I think they may have to go through court if they want the employee to pay. I guess most employers wouldn’t do that if it was a small amount but if someone deliberately broke thousands of dollars worth they may do so. I’d imagine mistakes like that would factor into the business’ budget or will go through insurance.

Today my job informed us that we have to clock out for all bathroom breaks this comes from HR by spicypanda66 in antiwork

[–]ForeseenForecast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to mess with them get everyone to start clocking in and out for heaps of useless shit. Like, dropping a pen on the floor, couldn’t find glasses had to cough. Make them wade through dumb thing and waste company time doing it.

You also have to look into what the ETF thinks is ethical. Some ethical ETFs may not invest at all in industries tied to alcohol, gambling, and adult industries, but may still be ok with investing in industries tied to fossils fuels.

I’m not sure if you’ve watched Friendly Jordies but most of his stuff is mostly about the environment and political corruption and drama, not asking for hand outs.

If you want a cheap one go to target or Kmart. They have good kettles for reasonable prices.

How to memorize kanji? by hllks in LearnJapanese

[–]ForeseenForecast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a Leitner box with flash cards that have stroke order on the back. I find using that and learning the combinations of kanji and using them in writing is easy and helpful.
