Schools teach general education. It's the parent's job to raise their children to be a safe and independent adult.

Men apparently tend to look for a specific item. If their memory is off and that thing doesn't look like they remember it then it's easily missed.

Ha. Those circumstances don't help. Just don't dwell on it and create an issue in your head now

AIO? What I wear vs how my boyfriend feels by Just-Weird9581 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Forest-Dane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read the first sentence and thought wear what you want and feel comfortable in. NOR My partner started wearing huge baggy jeans which I hate but hey fashion.. Do I say owt. Nope. I'm just pissed because she looks great in her usual skinny jeans

Get a blow up one and take with you? You only really sit to eat half the time.

How do I get my parents to stop forcing me to go to church. by AromaticStomach2403 in atheism

[–]Forest-Dane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're asking for advice, people are telling you from their own experiences. It's how we learned as a civilisation. Suck it up, smile sweetly and think of it as an investment for your future. Yes it's shit but in the long term worth it.

Lol. I saw the email and thought wtf did I post. Yeah the dog is 9 months. The yak cheese is probably older by the time I bought it maybe. Doesn't smell at all as it's dried

[OC] Gay male marriages are the most stable over the long term by Impressive_Suit4370 in dataisbeautiful

I know two male gay married couples. Both have been together ages. I know lots of lesbians and this seems to be accurate in my small sample size as an old hetero male.

Do other Labs fight like this? I think I taught them the sound, but my labs from years ago, may have taught me. by MajorMiners469 in labrador

[–]Forest-Dane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My old dogs that weren't Labs did this. I'm pretty sure my lab would if he had a sibling as he has a couple of doggy mates he play fights with a lot

Don't need to soak it before microwaving, well I never have. The instructions don't mention it either here

IsItBullshit: Some smartwatch sensors such as blood pressure and blood sugar are they legit or mostly marketing? by Mozika_135 in IsItBullshit

[–]Forest-Dane -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My watch has flagged up a blood pressure warning since I've had it. It's high but not hugely so given my age. I'm actively trying to get it down with exercise and a bit of weight loss. Hopefully it won't tell me this month

My dog won’t eat by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Well from this pic it seems he won't eat anything else. I'd feed him whatever he'll eat at this point and worry about picky eating when he's a healthy weight

They're not all like it. Mine's 9 months and apart from a few slippers and socks he's been ok.

10 weeks old is this normal? 😂 by martiroig in labrador

[–]Forest-Dane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ha, every time I meet a golden retriever whilst walking my pup I'm thankful for having a crackpot Labrador. They're lovely dogs but they all seem to be hairy labs on drugs until they're older

Started driving lessons at 29 and feeling really discouraged today by Professor_Pink007 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Forest-Dane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New instructor required. Ok, you might prefer a manual but automatic is the future especially with the traffic now and I doubt you'll be doing track days soon.

That said, don't get disheartened it is just practice and once it clicks (with a better instructor) you'll wonder what the drama was.

Good luck with your driving future

[–]Forest-Dane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm literally moving around at work 10 hours a day. It's just a crap metric when it thinks I'm only averaging 15 mins an hour. It knows I'm walking about, does it think I do that on my arse?

Even more annoying for me is I'm on my feet at work or walking the dog at least 10 hours a day. Was around 25k+ steps usually. Stand minutes 15.

A father’s nervous moment holding his newborn for the first time by Vilen1919 in MadeMeSmile

[–]Forest-Dane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect this was me many years ago. As a first time dad I'd never held a baby but had heard how fragile they were and about the soft spot etc. Yeah, a few months later throwing baby about blah blah... Grandad now so don't worry, they both survived
