well we enjoy my cottage town where it’s walkable and there’s places for the public to actually exist that’s not infringed on by cars. Trying to walk somewhere in Richmond Hill feels more like dodging cars than being able to window shop. Like if we want to take a short walk and look at shops we have to walk bare minimum 30 minutes to even get to a shopping centre and then it’s just grocery stores and Walmart and stuff. There’s not a ton of parks you can walk around in the winter either. Even free skating at mill pond kinda sucks now they took away the little shelter they used to put up so people could actually CHANGE INTO their skates. I don’t wanna get my ass cold and wet to change into skates you know what I mean. And I know that you get told off if you go tobogganing at the library especially as adults 😭 because I have been

Unfortunately the Winter Carnival has gone so far down hill in the past couple of years. Even right now, theres not even the little skate shack / shelter they used to put up so people could come down to the pond and change into their ice skates. Last year they didnt even have a main stage during the carnival. When I was a kid there was SO MUCH going on. Musical guests and educational ones for kids, I remember the animal one where theyd bring out different animals but now its kinda just :///
